I was visiting mod friends in Chicago yesterday. We were outside the brunch place and a friend was smoking. I pulled out my Vaporshark rDNA with a kayfun and started vaping. A lady made a pointed comment asking what the hell I was smoking. She said it looked like I had a "crack pipe".

I am not a user myself, but I have seen them on TV and this rig didn't look anything like that. Maybe it was the huge clouds that I was blowing? Maybe it was the delightful honey dew mellon flavor juice aroma? I would think that a 50 year old man would have more sense that to smoke crack on a major street in Chicago.

I would like like to hear if other people have similar experiences.

I am at the age where I really don't care about what strangers say or think, if they don't have anything nice to say to me I view them as I would telephone poles peppering the landscape. Half the time I don't even hear them. I tend to block out people who don't want to have genuine open-minded conversation about things.

This is no different than the truly clueless who say stuff to you like "Smile!" or something. (That used to annoy me when I was younger)....because the person doesn't know if you just had a loved one die, or you were just diagnosed with something bad, or got other bad news.

Those "smile!" types are cut from the same cloth.......obnoxious and self-absorbed, they don't really deserve my attention ........or even the energy it requires to get annoyed.

I'm sure there are all sorts of witty come-backs, and resentful ones as well, but that would also consume time and energy on my part.
