and explain what each piece is for those of us that are new to this. PLEASE!! THANKS!!

Sorry I wanted to post this in the new member forum but for some reason there is no "post New Thread" option... weird but it's whatever as long as I can get my questions answered :)

I'll bite, current lineup (minus #7 I didn't even know I had one left)
img0386ba.jpg

1, 2, 4, 5: Atomizers. Use for dripping (putting drops of liquid directly on the coils). 1 is a regular joye atomizer, 2 is an H.357 with a drip shield. 4 & 5 are rebuildables (Phoenix XL and something my wife won in a raffle?), they can be taken apart and the coils can be rebuilt using wire and a wick.

3 is a DID Clone. Also rebuildable using stainless steel mesh and kanthal wire, holds ~2-3ml of liquid in the tank section.

6 is an XL cartomizer (with flange at base, have some without but they're sealed in plastic still). Steel tube that has a filler material in it surrounding a smaller "fabric" tube that contains a coil. Liquid is dripped into the outer filler material and that feed liquid to the inner tube/coil. Holds ~1ml. This one is 45mm but you can get them in 35mm (and larger) also.

8 is a cartotank. Clear tank that has a cartomizer inserted. Cartomizer (same as #6) has holes punched/drilled into the bottom so liquid feeds directly into the carto. This one holds ~4 - 4.5ml.

7 is a Vision V3 clearomizer. Holds ~1.6 ml. It has a coil up top (~just below the metal band), and has wicks that go into the tank area that feed liquid to the coil.

9 & 10 are Vivi Novas. These are also clearomizers (you can see the wick more clearly in #10). 9 hold 3.5ml, 10 holds 2.8ml. You can buy replacement coil/wick assemblies (heads) so you don't have to buy an entirely new feed every time. The heads can also be dismantled and rebuilt using a selection of wicks and wire.

If you want I can open some of these and try to get closer pictures of the innards.

I've seen photo's of it but couldn't make heads or tales of what piece was what so I could somehow equate it with what I have. I am a visual learner so I didn't understand what I was looking at.
That's a pretty far reaching question - I would post some of my stuff, but I can't find the USB cable to my phone. Your best bet is to ask a question or do a search here if you don't know what something is for (for example, a Vivi Nova), then use google images to see what it looks like both disassembled and put together. :)

I'm currently using the vivis and H.357 the most, but everything there has been or will be used. Only thing there that I've not experienced is #5. Think that'll be tomorrow now that I ponder it. Nothing is really "interchangeable" other than the vivi caps/heads, each feed is it's own complete unit, other than.....

I have a lot of tips, but some are either too tight or too loose. For example: that nice brushed steel tip to the left is super loose on vivis, can't stand it always falling out, but it seems to fit those atomizers just right. I generally have a handful that I use on a regular basis and just swap them between feeds.

Thank you!! I had watched a video of a girl smoking 1 and the mouth piece kept falling off and yeah that would drive me NUTS!!

New York (no, not the city)
I've been wanting to post my gear, so here goes.

vaping_11_2012.jpg

On the top, three bottles of juice: RY4, Clove and Menthol. Below those is a USB charger.

Left to right are an unopened Boge cartomizer, one of the rubber sleeves (condoms), an opened but sleeved carto, a carto with a Delryn drip-tip attached, then an eGo battery. On the right is an assembled eGo with a silver carto and a drip-tip, attached to a lanyard (also attached is a small LED flashlight). Below to the left is a pouch that all the un-assembled pieces and supplies can be carried in.

This has been my standard setup for...maybe two years now. I use RY4 and Clove mixed in the black cartomizers and menthol in the silver. I hardly ever use the menthol anymore but go through the other two like crazy. Pretty much the only time I use the menthol is when I go out and forget to wear the lanyard, and have left the pouch with the other battery and menthol carto in the car!

The batteries last me about two days each. When one goes out I charge it overnight (the charger is left in my computer's USB port) and put it back in the pouch. The pouch is a bit smaller but bulkier than a pack of smokes.

Yesterday I was replacing the black carto, so I opened a new one and added some juice, then let it sit for an hour or so. Replaced it onto my battery and took a puff...of BURNING PLASTIC FILLER! ugh! Must not have gotten the atomizer wet enough. I tried flooding the burnt taste out, but to no avail - all I did was waste a bunch of juice. So now I'm filling another new carto, and gonna make sure it's properly wet!

And now, come to think of it, I need to order more juice.

I just posted this on the Pictures of your setup thread (that thread will keep you entertained for weeks and is always getting posted in).

From left to right:
  • Variable Wattage Box mod I built based in the DNA12 chip with a DID clone (gennisus style rebuildable atomizer) on top
  • SmokTech Ego Passthrough with a Vision Vivi Mini Nova (clearomizer)
  • Another DiD Clone
  • Another Mini Nova

This is all. That is a REO mini 2.0 with the door off so you can see how simple it is internally. The carto is a super shorty 1.7 with a SS drip tip. That is the beauty of a REO, just fill the bottle, put in a battery and vape all day - no need for a lot of gear. You feed the carto or atty by squeezing the bottle. It is also a very mobile and stealt device.
