Postal Holiday Today - November 11

Today is Veterans Day and is a holiday for the Post Office. Just wanted to let you all know, in case you're waiting for packages and didn't know today was a postal holiday.

Best wishes and thank you to all Veterans and current and past members of the Armed Forces! Because of all of you, we can all receive mail tomorrow.

I know, I am both lauding Veteran's Day as a Veteran myself and at the same time cursing because I know my new REO Grande is sitting ten blocks away inside the post office.

Same here I am a veteran and my extra cartomizers probably would have arrived today. Oh well they should be there tomorrow for sure. Hopefully UPS will be delivering my retro Air Jordan 6s tomorrow too.

Yea, I hated to break the news to those who didn't realize it was a postal holiday. I had to look it up at usps.com to be sure, when I noticed the red flag was still up on my mailbox at noon. I thought the post office had either Veterans day or Columbus day off, but not both.

Anyway, I posted it so those of you waiting around to receive mail could get on with your day, if you were sitting at home waiting for the mail to arrive.

I knew today was Veteran's Day, I really did. Even knew the post office wasn't doing business today. But I'm expecting a couple juice orders, so it completely slipped my mind when I stopped at the mailbox on my way home. There was only disappointment and stale air in the box. Didn't realize why until I saw this post. Duh.

My tracking info says that my package from liberty flights was checked into the local post office this morning and is currently out for delivery. Weird?!?
