Posting in other sections and why i cant do it?

You must post 5 times in the new member section before you can move on. If you have 5 posts already, it may just take time for the site to catch up.
I was wondering on the same too. Lucky I saw this thread before posting a new one.
oh my gaaaaa, this brings back sooo many memories...i was sooo lost in this place, had no idea how HUGE ECF really is!....i remember my first day looking thru here, i didnt even know where to post. i think i got an 'infraction' in the first 2 hours...obviously not on purpose, cant remember what it was for, something like i posted something i wasnt suppose to post in the Classifieds. I then got either infractions or warnings for my banner being too big...i totally didnt do that on purpose either.
There was soo many mod threads, and newbie what to buy' threads'...and geezus..its just went on for ever...then one day, i actually ran into the same person in a thread, that i'd seen in another thread..thats when i knew this place wasnt as HUGE as i first thought.

Yup. I remember thinking that too, and thinking, "ok..5 full posts?..or is that 5 reply posts?..or ??" It was sort of confusing at the start, but, everyone had to deal with it..even the veterans!!!
cuz u's new. get to spamming but don't be in a hurry to get out of the new members forum. This is where all the magic happens.
Ok, just so ya know this is an attempt to add to the number of posts i currently have. But it is also a reminder that ya have to have 20 post to get to the classifieds. .....
Just an FYI for some of you posting to get your post count up. Mods can and do remove posts that are nothing more than spamming for post count.
Gosh', i hope that doesnt happen to me, i'd be in real trouble if they remove some of mine'......

Members are restricted to posting in the New Members Forum only, can not use Private Messaging, and can not have a signature.
5 to 15 posts:
Members can post in other forums and use Private Messaging.
15 posts and above:
Members can post in all forums, and can now have a signature.
70 posts and above:
Members can no longer start new threads in the New Members Forum, but may post in threads started by others.
Please be aware that "spamming" useless posts for the sole purpose of raising your post count is not allowed, and may result in your posts being deleted.
