Posting Photos

How does everyone post photos on here? Every time I try it tells me that my file size is too large to upload, I would really like to be able to post them to make explaining things a bit easier by showing rather than trying to tell. Is there a setting in my camera that I can change or a good external site to use?

Just downloaded one but I can't select the image after I resize

Hmm. I just right click on the photo then choose resize in the dropdown menu, and it's good to go. Don't know what you downloaded, but I just use what windows provides.

If you are using a dedicated camera and not a cell phone there should be about 4 different

size pics that you can take.

I take a picture with my flip phone and then send it to my email and open it and save to my

desktop on my laptop and then upload it to ECF from my desktop....seems to work good...

I'm always on my phone because my computer was damaged in a flood so I was just curious if there was a setting or app that works best, but I'll keep poking around until I find something that works

I just host my pics on photobucket and post the img code. Simple as can be.

I think the limit is about 1 mb. should allow a fairly big pic - but not "high resolution".
On a computer, you can literally just "drag and drop" a photo into a post, or copy/paste one now - it's much easier than the old boards "upload" process.

But sorry, I don't do it from a phone...

Thank you, it was taking with my DSLR on a marble table. I liked the reflection it gave off in it.

@VaporDaze Is the camera on a phone? Depending on which phone you are using, on gallery, select your pic, go to settings and crop the picture. You can also select details and it will show you the size. As Train2 mentioned, 1 mb is the maximum.

I had the same problem before, what I did is.
I will upload the Photo in facebook, download it from facebook, then upload it again.

Before Facebook: 3 mb
After Facebook: about 65 kb

Hey Daze,
I ran into that same problem using firefox but it worked just fine with Chrome.
Your best bet, especially since you're using your phone, is to post or upload your pix to
an online pix host like Photobucket, TinyPic, ETC. and post the image url they'll give you
to your post by clicking the <image> button next to the smilies when you click the more options tab
to the right of the post reply button.
