Why have something bigger? If you were to make it a passthrough with the charger and have one in the car and one at home... maybe a PCC for other situations.

These are just "high density" accumulators for modelling. You can buy these everywhere. Maybe these batteries are a little different, but in common they are the same

On eBay you can buy very small and reliable boards to charge with currents about 3A, maybe 4, no more. But they are inexpensive and easy to use, if you understand electronics basics. Keyword is LM2596
