Thanks WarHawk-AVG, I didnt know that about the finish but I would have still got it anyway. I am not really a fan of the chrome or stainless steel there just to bright for me. I did like the Gunmetal of the v3, but it also seemed to be hindered by the same thing.

Thats a nice skin you have there, I will have to look into those at some point. Are they hard to put on with it being cylinder shape?
nope, the hardest part is ensuring when you apply it getting the strips to go on evenly

you need to clean it good (degrease it) but the chemical I used (non-clorinated brake parts cleaner sprayed in a paper towel) etched the display plastic (I used a dremel buffing wheel to unfog it but you can tell it was "damaged") so be very very very very very x10 careful around the plastic display cover!)

You can get them at Jwraps (forum vendor) or vaporskinz (coincidentally the guy at vaporskinz made me a custom wrap for the "regular price"!)

Denrock316, my charger came today and I think you said you have the same one. (intellicharge i2)

Just curious since the instructions/directions are kind of vague, I have both batteries in it and it has one orange light lit and the one right above it blinking. Is this right or should it be some other combination? I am guessing one or all of them turn green when its fully charged?

Thanks,
Tommy

Nope they stay yellow. When you have 3 solid yellow lights it is fully charged.

Well I today was the BIG day for me. Finally got enough stuff to start using the v5. Was hoping it was going to be yesterday but the juice didn't come for some reason even though it was suppose to by the tracking number.

Well anyway, I got home from work around noon, and took the v5 out, put the battery in, put some juice in the tank, checked the settings and took a vape.

Started pulling on it for about 5 seconds and thought man I am not getting anything, then I inhaled and WOW I couldn't believe the taste and throat hit. It almost made me cough!! I jumped straight from the cheap disposable Blu e-cigs to this and all I can say is nothing I thought about the jump up was even close. I am still in amazement at this thing! Huge clouds of vapor, very easy to use and set-up. I am not sure what it would be like if I had ventured to the eGo style first, but coming from cheap disposables this out of this world in a nice way.

I couldn't be happier and it was only possible by the great folks on this forum. If it wasn't for the people here, I would have went with a V2 1100MAH KGO KIT that I originally come here to see about. It could have given me a great experience too, but I am so happy with this and couldn't be happier right now.

A VERY HAPPY new v5 owner/user!!!!!

Congratulations. Most of us started with spinners or cheap stuff and then venture into the APV and will never look back. Here are a few tips for the vamo5. Make sure it's in RMS mode, I think it should be on it to begin with unlike the the V1 which was in MEAN mode. Hold the left button down for 10 seconds to switch between the two. Also, change it to watts instead of volts, now this is a personal preference but I would guess that 90% of the people go watts instead of volts.

Also get an Tank Airflow Controller. It helps with airy tanks like the protank if you want, but most importantly it protects the threads in the Vamo that tons and tons of people have issues with. It's only $5 or so but I think it's an absolute must.

Hello there, I am thinking very hard about getting Vamo v3 or v5, but I have a few questions first concerning batteries and chargers. After reading through here and some youtube video's I am kind of hesitant about it.

I was thinking of either getting one of these 2:

THIS package but unsure if the batteries or chargers are any good, or what batteries would be the best option.

or

Going with a V5 and building my own battery and charger pack from HERE but am unsure if what they have is any good in the battery line.

If you guys have any suggestions or what not feel free to give it as I am not locked into one of these 2 places. I am just looking for a good deal and this about the best I could come up with.

My other option was to go with a MVP2, but I really like the looks of the Vamo!!!!

Thanks,
Tommy

I got two panasonic NCRs and a EFESET LED charger.....they work great and no issues for the last 3 months........i like the digital readout on the charger so i know where they are during the charge......i actually got mine from the same website.....good service and excellent product

Thanks for the tip on the Airflow Controller, darkmader.

You mean something like this?

They look the same to me, I don't know what the other post was about. I don't know if I got the non-smoketech AFC as it wasn't labeled as such but it looks exactly the same. Make sure you raise your collar on the V5 as very high as it will go with the AFC on until it will make contact with your devices, that just adds more safety so you won't push your pin down like myself, and many other have done so.

Congrats on your new Vamo, I got a V3 a couple days ago, and I love mine too. The more I use it, the more I appreciate it.

I read the earlier comments about batteries; at my vape vendor, there are high capacity Panasonics (somewhere around 3000 mAh if I remember correctly), but they're not labeled as 'chemically safe,' is this a big diff?

I'm using a 2000 mAh 18650, which lasted the entire day yesterday (my first full day with the Vamo), but I guess that when it comes to battery time, the mAh the merrier, right?

I also got an 18350, rated at 800 mAh, but it doesn't seem to run very long at all between charges.

Regards
Glenn
