Powder coating drip tips and atomizer top caps

Hi ECF fam I was just wondering if it's safe or ok to powder coat drip tips and atty top caps. I'm just worried about the chemicals in powder coating. Might be really harmful when heated, in contact with mouth, and/or in contact with juice. Can this be done safely? Please let me know.

Should be fine. If your tip is getting that hot, something is wrong. Isn't there food-grade powder coating?

I'd think that if powder coating was bad, they wouldn't be doing it to Weber Grills. They're powder coated and get a lot hotter than our mods do.

You will have problems with drip tips not fitting if the coating is too thick. There is very little clearance now so it would be best to forgo coatings on mating surfaces.

Powder coating is a paint baking process; should be fine. I'd be more concerned with whatever products may be used to make the final result shiny.

Are you thinking of doing this yourself, or having it done elsewhere?
