Power and Current Sheets (WARNING: Wide Images)

A couple of days ago, I spotted a discussion in the Veterans Forum that centered around power dissipated, and current drawn, by different resistance atties, at various voltages--on non-PWM driven mods.

I remembered that I had slapped-together a couple of spreadsheets together a while back, that makes for a handy reference for those not inclined to do the P = E2/I or the I = E/R thing on the calculator, or for those who keep their expensive calculators in the desk drawer (under a bunch of stuff) in another room.

On both charts, the top row is atomizer voltage, in Volts, of course, increasing left-to-right in 0.1 Volt increments; and the left column is the atomizer resistance, in Ohms, increasing downward in 0.1 Ohm increments.

On the "Power Chart" (the one with the 'P' in the upper left-hand corner, you find your atty voltage in the top row, and your atty resistance in the left column; and, where that row and column intersect, you'll find the power, in Watts, dissipated by that voltage-atty combination.

On the "Current Chart" (the one with the 'I' in the upper left-hand corner, you find your atty voltage in the top row, and your atty resistance in the left column; and, where that row and column intersect, you'll find the current, in Amps, drawn by that atty, at that particular voltage.

Since I can't yet post in the Veterans Forum, I figured I'd post the information here, for whomever might find it to be useful.

OK...the images re-sized for me. I was worried about the width. Right-click on the image and open in a new window, and you'll see the legible version of each image. Right-click again, and save the image, and you've got it.

If you open the image in something like the GIMP and rotate it by 90 degrees and drop it into an OpenOffice.org Writer document, you can print 'em out and pin 'em to your modding bulletin board.
