Greetings fellow Vapers,
I noticed the thread about the exploding battery and read through some of it. I had previously known the potential, though unlikely, chance of spectacular battery failure, so I have been careful. But please weigh in on this thought / question.
I have many battery powered gismos. I have also acquired several power banks, i. e., big batteries with which you charge the smaller ones. These power banks are pretty efficient - they charge quickly and hold their charge well. One of my banks will fully charge my phone 2 or 3 times AND my iPad before I need to recharge the bank. My smaller banks will recharge my iTaste vv 3.0 2+ times.
Does anyone know if the chances of spectacular battery failure (read, fire, detonation, explosion, lift-off) are reduced by charging pv batteries with a power bank?
I am confident that it does not eliminate stupidity. I once put a square 9v battery in my pocket and it shorted out on a quarter that was also in my pocket. I was not hurt or burned, but it gave new meaning to "hot pockets"
Looking forward to your feedback.
