So I had a bunch of crazy storms go thru last night. A friend was over and he loves to set himself up with an atty, ego batt and drip tip and go to town :) Lightning hit a pole right outside and left us in the dark. So we camped out with some cards, a bunch of liquid and puffed for quite a few hours. All I can say is thank god my ego mega battery came the day before!!! My two 650s would have maybe lasted the evening, but power didn't return until 3am.

I think 3 batteries makes the most sense. that way when one eventually dies you have time to order a new one while rotating two. Very happy with the backup charger and mega batt :2cool: Helps to be prepared :)

Don't forget some backups for the backup.

Seriously tho, it's good to hear you managed to make some lemonade. I'm so dependent on ac anymore that I have a rough time dealing with five minuets of outage, let alone hours or days.

Down here in hurricane country, I'm ready: three deep cycle 12 VDC batts in the boat, heavy duty truck batt, two lawn tractor batts and three cig lighter/USB adapters with clamp-on sockets. Then there's always the portable generator. At least I'll vape...

I counted 6 batteries for my eGo when I switched over to mods. LOL! I don't even remember buying them all.

I'm definitely covered when out of the house. I'm also fortunate as my buddy who was over the night of the power outtage actually has his home off grid. So worst case I could go over and just charge everything up. He's one house over from me....country house...but it's a 30 sec drive. I had to charge my cell phone one time over the winter (pre pv) during a power outtage.

That's quite the machine. Excellent for a camping trip! Nice one!!

It is cool. Designed to charge laptops but also has USB power out. So just about anything that can be charged with a USB port can be charged with this unit. GPS, iPod, cell phone and of course, e-Cigs. They go for about $100 on Amazon.com

Wasn't going to spend that but for 25$ NIB on e-Bay, I wasn't going to pass it up.
