I'm not sure if I have out grown my evic or not understanding it.

I'll admit I'm cloud chasing a little bit right now. But seems like I keep reading more about what an evic Won't do...use a mech...blah blah blah.

So is the evic just not for power vaping? I guess it's just built for convenience.

What can the evic do that will make me be impressed (again).

Why even try impressing you?

Would you expect to set land speed records with a Camaro? No, but it is still a nice car.

To Date, I have 12 Mechanical Mods and 4 APV's
Each has it's purpose.

I would suggest, if you are no longer interested, it may be time to use the eVic as an introduction tool to some budding new Vaper.:)

What is the definition of "power vaping"? Match an eVic with the right delivery device and it performs quite well. Or keep chasing your tail looking for the holy grail. In the end I think you'll find there is no holy grail of pv's.

FWIW I own several devices. One or two are superior to the eVic in one way or another. At least one cost twice as much. But when all things are considered the eVic is still my favorite. I've had my V1 just short of a year.

Don't get me wrong, I really like my evic.... but I've got this disease, the buy anything shiny and new disease... I'm sure everyone has caught this at some point in their life.

I'm waiting on my kayfun clone, should be here Tuesday (I hope I hope)

I'm playing with my Fogger v3... that's a love hate kind of thing. When it works, it's amazing. But it leaks like a strainer when the wick is not setup right, the vacuum is not right, the planet's don't align just right....

So, since I keep lurking in these modding threads, and rebuildable atomizer threads, and cloud chasing threads... seems most people keep telling me my "weakest link" is my evic?

Honestly, I don't even know everything this does....or don't understand everything it does.

While the Evic is not my favorite mod, it certainly can give you as good a vape as anything else.

Nothing wrong at all with trying a mech mod...they are not my passion, but many folks swear by them due to their rugged simplicity (no board to go haywire) and they are a solid choice to go with a RBA. Were I to recommend a first mech mod, the Smoktech Magneto is both inexpensive and works just fine.

However, I would not agree with any assertion that they necessarily provide "better vaping"...simply another avenue to the same results.

My only real beefs with the Evic are 1.- Not the most durable mod out there and 2. If you use a RBA it won't fire much below a 1.3 ohm coil.

As far as "clouds of vapor" and all that, a pro tank 2 on the Evic will provide plenty of vaping pleasure.

I get the "new and shiny" part...all too well! I have a half dozen or so tube mods & box mods, and I like each for different reasons, but truth to tell, any one of them is capable of providing fine vaping. In fact, for daily carry-to-work use, an eGo w/evod setup fits nicely in my shirt pocket.

Yep. I still carry a straight fixed voltage eGo with a ~1.8Ω carto in my shirt pocket for when I'm walking around the plant floor where I work. The eVic or whatever I choose that day stays at my desk.
