I am wondering how it is possible for a pre filled cart, like those sold by Blucig or smoking everywhere and others can possibly equal a full pack of cigarettes, like they claim.

I have only used a couple prefilled carts that came with my 510 and they were fine and all but the vapor production and flavor died off after about 20 or so puffs.... sorry but 1 puff doesnt equal one cigarette.

So, how is it done? Are these carts they sell some kind of "SUPER" cart?

Help me understand please.

For two months now I have wondered the same and now conclude that they are way overstating their claims. Therefore look forward to refilling those used carts with your fav yummy juice often and be glad to not be smoking tobacco. Just don't waste money buying the prefilled ones. Sure you'll be buying some when you have chewed the ends off your originals but it will still be cheeper to refill and cheeper still than real smokes by far.

Like everyone said, there's no way you're getting close to 20 cigs. Most of these companies don't measure the amount of puffs but the amount of nicotine in 2 puffs is equal to the amount of nicotine in one cigarette. Your best bet to get the most puffs for your money is filling your own carts. I recommend using a PTB filler with a straw mod and adding your own e-juice. Search PTB and straw mod in other forums to figure out how to set that up. That's what I'm running out of my M401 and it works really well.

Yes, I think this is basically what is going on.

I believe that these claims are not really lying so much as misleading.
And I mean very, very misleading.

I think what they might be doing here is saying that a cartridge has as many milligrams (mg) of nicotine as a pack of cigarettes. So therefore if you ignore the possible fact that we absorb far less nicotine from using electronic cigarettes as compared to cigarettes, you can potentially say that a cartridge could equal a pack of cigarettes. Of course, that is only if you consider that you would have to be taking only like two drags off your electronic cigarette and pretending that you have just smoked a cigarette.

So yeah, if you only take around two drags every time you would normally have a cigarette, it may last as long as a pack. And if you absorbed about the same amount of nicotine from an electronic cigarette as you do from a real cigarette... well, then there you go!!

The problem is that supposedly we only absorb about 1/10th as much nicotine from vapor as from cigarette smoke, so we have to take a lot more than two drags to get a cigarette worth of nicotine.

I lifted this from TW's site, they deserve props for telling it like it is IMO...

How long can I expect a prefilled cartridge to last?

Nowhere near as long as the manufacturers claim! Many claim a rather hefty number of cigarettes (as many as 20) as an equivalent to one cart. In reality, one cart is about the equivalent of 5 or 6 cigarettes tops. However, given the price of the carts and the price of e-liquid, this is no big deal. Around three drops of e-liquid seems to equate with roughly one cigarette when using a technique called 'dripping' so it would be fair to say a similar amount applies if topping up your carts with e-liquid.
