Pre-punched cartos- How do you modify?

Does everyone feel the hole in the pre-punched cartos is too tiny?

How do you make it bigger? do you have a reliable way?

Or how do you punch your brand-spankin new and whole carts?

If the carto wicks the juice properly and keeps the stuffing moist then what's the issue?

The only reliable way I have found of hole-punching is to use a saddle valve but the thickest juice I use is 50/50 and it's never caused problems for the pre-punched cartos.

The OP may be referring to the laser-punched SmokTech cartos, which others have reported as being problematic with thicker juices.

I agree that saddle valves are ideal for punching or widening holes.

My pre-punched cartos wouldn't work at all, not even on my 15% VG liquids. I tried punching the holes bigger with a hammer and nail, but I still couldn't get any liquid to draw into the carto. I ended up cutting slots right where the holes were with a dremel to finally get them big enough to work. Now it's great, all I have to do is take a hard draw without firing the battery and I can see the air bubbles as the liquid flows into the carto. I normally vape until I can taste a change in the liquid, then take "filling" drags until the top of the carto is wet again.

How do you "cut" them blackjack?
Yes, I am talking about the ones with the teeny tiny hole that never wicks. I have to dip it into the tank to re-wet the carto and that kind of defeats the purpose of a tank... My efforts at punching always seem to damage the carto

I got a saddle valve for $7 at Home Depot, and it works fine. Just aim the pointy bit for the hole and twist shut, and it'll enlarge it enough to help.
