Best Slotted/Punched Cartos?

I've been using laser cut bogea for a while, and don't love 'em. The draw is too stiff, and the hole/slot (use slotted and punched) are a little high up on the carto for me. Anyone have a recommendation for their favorite cartos pre-slotted/punched or just regular cartos and then a place where I can buy a gosh darn punching tool?

I have been using the laser slotted Boges from Surevape.com. When they wick like they are suppose to they are great. The long slot shape works better then the laser holes. But, I have noticed my past 2 orders, they are not wicking very well. I went thru 5 duds in a row today. Debating on reordering any more. The ones I have used over the past few months are not lasting very long. I am doing good to get 3 tank refills. The filler is getting rock hard-even refilling with a syringe is difficult. I have been switching a new one every day. Its getting expensive.

I also recently tried some smok tech 3ohm single coil prepunched with 3 holes from Pre Punched Replacement tank cartomizers I was really surprised that they vape so well. They are a bit more airy than the Boges. The only thing I don't like is they only make them in the 45mm xl length. I prefer the shorter 35mm ones. But, with my having 5 Boge duds in a row today I am going to place another order for some more of the Smok Tech ones tonight. They run 1.79 each and cheaper if you order more than 25.

As far as punching my own holes, it just didn't work. All the carto punch tools would slightly dent the carto and part of the time prevent them from being inserted into the tank. My dremel worked the best, but my preference is to pay a few extra cents and order them already punched via laser.

Hopefully other carto users will share their recommendations here as well.

I like the Smok single coil cartos, unpunched and without the flange. These work very well with my thick DIY 95% VG juice. I use carto tanks by IBTanked.

No need to guess about how many holes or slots are needed if you punch the cartos yourself. You just experiment until you find out what works. You're not left with a bunch of useless cartos that won't work for you. Non-punched cartos save money, too.

Having the right punching tool helps a lot. I use the Siam Mods V2 carto punch sold by Phiniac. Siam Mods V2 is based on the Smok carto punch but is sharper and doesn't deform the carto as much as the Smok punch. I've been using 4 small punch holes for my heavy VG juice and haven't worn out any IBTanked o-rings after months of daily refills. There is a video that shows how to use the punch here. It makes different sized holes depending on how many turns you give the screw. I use about 3 1/3 turn.
