This is pretty funny that you made this thread. I almost opened one asking this same exact thing but I searched for an existing post instead and asked about this in the precise batteries thread only a few minutes before or after you made this thread. Hopefully it is on its way, on the previous mentioned thread David said that they were next in line to be done after the p16 and 18 so we will see.

I have a batch of parts in the works at the shop now, so they should be done alongside those. I have thought about it some more and i will just be offering them at my cost, no markup. I have some of the 10440 AW's, but no switches for them to work with:) Hopefully we can resolve that soon.

I would think it would be just a add-on as not everyone would be comfortable with just using the unprotected battery's.

Now one thing I was wandering about is with my P10 David sent along a brass button along with my SS one and he says the brass works better with some battery's, I'm assuming it builds up less corrosion from the charge over time so David could you just cut off the steel connection part of the switch and tap in a brass flat screw so we could still have our nice Steel buttons but with better conductivity? Then it would be easy to sell new brass screws when needed!

Kevin

Just a quick question David. Once these are produced, will they be offered as standard switches on the new P10 purchases or will they be strictly an add-on or an accessory for old and new customers?

I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you for this. I purchased a p10 from the classifieds and it is so nice and is even smaller in person than I thought. Most suppliers would take an opportunity like this to make some extra money but you know that this is going to broaden the range of people that will buy this product. I am sure that most people that buy this upgrade will be buying aw 10440s from you so you will still come out ahead. Anyways we appreciate it.

I'm confused. Is the P10 the same as the Precise 10440 on the website?

Also, atavanhalen: Did it take awhile to find one on the classifieds? I did a search there for a 'Precise 10440' & didn't find one. Am I using the wrong terms?

Unfortunately for some people, not many people sell there supert mods, at least this is what I noticed. This is a good thing though because it means that David is making great mods and nobody wants to give em up. I guess I just got lucky, Rotten76 had a p16 and 2 p10s which btw is the same as the 10440. I think he bought all three of the P line 2 of the 10s 1 16 and 1 18,and decided he like the 18 the best so he sold the previous ones mentioned and I got lucky. I got the p10 for a hundred bucks for my soon to be wife and that included some juice, 4 510 atties, an adapter, and 5 protected 10440 batteries, great deal but ya do not run across it very often and when you do they are gone quick. The exception to that is the p10 that rotten had for sale actually took a bit to sell which I thought was weird for such a great price but could also have something to do with the bad name that the 10440 batteries have. You should just go order it because there is no waiting on the p10 he has them in stock and ready to ship and the ones that end up in classifieds are usually not that much cheaper than the actual price( Like I said rotten76 is one of the few exceptions of this. Good luck to you

Hopefully we can have these new switches in about two weeks. It was the next item of mine that was due to be done. I don't think it will be too much longer. I've done my part, it's just the shop has been pretty backed up. Do know that they have my order and the blueprint, so the rest is up to them:)

Madvapes has Ultrafire 10440's back in stock. I just got 10. That leaves 79 for the rest of you. Have at it. They are the best protected 10440 around. By the way, send special instructions that you have a Precise 10440. They made an effort to make sure that I did not get any with off enter protection circuits, etc. to deal with tight tolerances in this mod.
