Just want to follow up on this post. Both kinds of batts are fitting for me just fine with the two o-rings in place... no need to flip the black ones upside down. Maybe the o-rings have compressed down a little after some use?

Some notes and questions about how batts fit in my shiny new Precise16.

* The 2 AW16340 IMRs (the red ones) that I have fit very snugly with both o-rings in place. The top cap screws down to within a hairline of fully screwed down. A nearly perfect fit. Could be just a little looser.

* The 2 AW16340 ICRs (the black ones) leave a noticeable gap at the top cap with both o-rings in place, it doesn't screw down far enough. Removing an o-ring allows the top cap to be screwed down flush, but the batts rattle loosely inside.

My question is, has anyone fiddled with the o-rings such that a single o-ring config accommodates both IMRs and ICRs with minimal gaps and no rattling? I'm thinking I may be able to shave down one of the two o-rings a hair to get something that will work for all of my batts.

Has anyone else poked along these lines or something similar?

Thnx.

quick question.

How long do your batteries last before you buy new ones?
Cycle Life : > 500 cycles (I'm using IMR 16340 with precise)

so recharge my batteries about once or twice a day...so replace once a year?
are you guys getting the full 500 cycles?
Idk if there is a drop off in vapor b/c I use them everyday and it would be real gradual.

thanks

... I don't think you will notice much in vapour production drop off per se. As the rock content of the batt increases over time (less capacity for re-charging), your usable time between re-charges will decrease. That being said, your charger time will also decrease. Both will be an indication that new batts are in order.

That's probably true but, at some point you'd notice that they don't last as long.

With larger lipos (RC Helis) the flight times start to reduce and the power fades after about 150 flights.
If you keep hammering them they just puff and start to fall apart...

When they do start to fade away you can always use them in a flashlight or something that doesn't load them as hard.

I use one of these for the 16340's (actually a first gen which is a bit smaller)
