Every once in awhile we get back a unit which the owner describes as having firing issues. Though sometimes the problem is traced to the unit needing a simple cleaning, often it is due to having a loose center post on the button.

The screw in center post of the button needs to be tightened with a screwdriver. If it is loose or finger tight, it is akin to having a loose battery cable on your car and will cause weak or intermittent firing problems.

If you want to adjust the throw of the button, add/remove washers, but be sure to tighten the center post back down firmly with a screwdriver, it's why we machine it with slots in it, to accomodate a screwdriver for
tightening :)
