Prefilled vs blank carts

Don't know if it's just my new 510 breaking in, but I seem to be getting significantly more vapor prod off the included prefilled carts than just-topped-off carts. Is this crazy? Or am I not filling them correctly?
Still got a ****ty taste from both atomizers. And I'm getting quite nauseous from constant gaping to try to break them in.

The S****ty taste ha-ha! shouldn`t last long! Have you tried just putting 2/3 drops straight on to the atomiser? (don`t put more than 2/3 drops are you will flood it!)

Vapour production could be down to liquid you using?

The 510 I got from esmokeytreats had the most delicious cartridges ever....they were like some kind of almond nutty taste.....I loved them..., I drip ry4 on top of that and hell yeah.

Are you putting enough in when you refill? I've been noticing with my 510 that it works best if I refill to the point that the liquid is just starting to pool on top of the filler material. I haven't had any problems getting juice in my mouth when doing this like I used to with my other e-cig (SmokeStik). Also, for some reason, the refill doesn't seem to last as long and the filler doesn't get as dry before the performance go down so I need to refill somewhat often.

Mmmm.. I didn't like the prefilled carts that came with my 901 I got from another supplier (down right nasty yuck) so I was hesitant to try the prefilled carts from esmokey that came with my 510 but glad I did. I'm going to have to get some more, they were very good, easily a favorite.
The gawdawful taste lasted in my 510 about a evenings worth of puffing on it bleh. It should go away soon. I haven't noticed a difference in vapor on mine between prefilled and topped off. Sounds like liquid maybe?

Perhaps maybe add a bit more juice? The 510 holds alot compared to the 901 I have. I noticed if I use a toothpick to fluff and move around a bit what I thought may have been enough liquid-- it will sink down some and I can get another 1-2 drops in making it perfect.

The carts that came with my 510 produced very little vapor. The taste was OK, but not worth the lack of vapor/throat hit. Once I started adding e-juice, it was night and day; much better!! I take a paper clip and put it in the corner and move the fill a little to help release air.

Thanks guys. Just added the coffee stirrer mod to a blank. Great vapor production and massive throat hit. Loving the camel and mint flavors from smokey treats

I am very new at this and just got my 510 and waiting to get some juice from esmokeytreats and other places. On average,

1. How many puff/drags or how long does a prefilled cartridge last? I'm sure it varies agreat deal, mine (the ones that came with my kit) were pretty crappy and only seemed to last for 5 or 6 drags before I got no TH and reduced vapor and they look pretty dry, just slightly moist (!) I'm saving the carts though for future use.

2. Once you start using your own liquid, about how long would you say a cart lasts before you have to top it off? Do you guys top it off frequently? Like for how long do you puff, say, if you puff for 45 min taking breaks, do you top it off withing those 45 min.?

I know all this varies from person to person, but I'd like to hear some of your experiences. I tried looking for posts on this specific issue and I guess I'm either blind or dumb cuz I couldn't find them!

We tend to top off the 510 carts after about every 10 to 15 hits, the taste goes down a bit after that but in reality only the first 5 or so hits are the truly best fresh taste. The evo (M401) lasts a long time with the same taste and hits, but never as much of a deep taste or throat hit as the 510 cuz it burns cooler. The carts that came with 510 are good too, but same thing after 10 to 15 hits, need to drip. It's like the end of a cig, so don't tend to drip more than once in a " smoking session ".

Thanks CartVapr, that was really helpful. I am trying to get a sense of different people's experience regarding taste, TH, and number of drags before topping a cartridge off so your reply hits the mark.

And like I said, I am sure it varies quite a bit from person to person, so if anyone else feels like sharing, I'd very much appreciate it!

The only other post that is similar to this is titled "How much do you vape" but all the respones are in ml/day, I don't care as much about numbers as I do with different people's sensations/perceptions of vaping pleasure.

Also, I did the mod with the coffee stirrer and even though my prefilled carts suck, the first few drags were AMAZING. My mouth is watering for more... I need my juices to get here!!
