Previously owned a 4081, just received my Joye510

Let me tell you something. I am SO happy to have quit cigarettes and am now enjoying an e-cig that outperforms an analog in providing me with a great smoking experience.

The 4081 I have I got from smokingeverywhere(dot)com. Stay away from them and any personal vape like it. They work... but they suck something awful.


Back to my 510. I couldn't be happier. To anyone out there I HIGHLY recommend it. You can even drip it as the battery (At least on the manual ones I have) is closed off.

The only complaints I've heard is of battery life (2 hours constant smoke) and something I found in my research. The battery is of a high voltage. This means sometimes the flavor of a juice (e-liquid) doesn't come through as well. I've also heard that some do better on the 510 so I'll have to experiment.

Speaking of which, anyone have any suggestions of a specific type/brand that will give me 9/10 throat hit, 10/10 vapor production and great flavor on this model? I like pretty much any flavor, so let me know!

VG juices give max vapor on the 510.. but then again, they give max vapor on almost all PV's.

I personally love the ECOpure line of VG liquids in my 510..... with the VG stuff from Vermont Vapor being a close second.

Before I found out that 510s were for sale in my country (and at an acceptable price to boot) I placed an online order to get them shipped here. If everything goes fine with customs I will join you and the other proud 510 owners next week.

Remember one thing though. This happened to me too. You HAVE to break in the atty a little bit. Mine took maybe 25 drags before I was satisfied with it's power, but I expect even better results in a few days.

If you want great Vapor get a Janty Stick and use the blue-foam mod for your filler. Good luck! (A Mod like the Janty Stick will cost you a lot less in the long run because batteries are cheap)

Good move on ecigs. 10/10 vapor is Ecopure. 9/10 throat hit would be adding menthol crystals to 24mg+ Ecopure Rich. A TW mega batt or two (or a 5 pack) would help on the throat hit as it keeps the voltage higher for a longer period of time. Try 555 flavor in VG as well. Throat hit is heat plug nicotine (with certain flavors helping - tobacco, menthol, cinnamon, with Decadent Vapours 'mentholytus' being a 10/10 - you can get that in 36mg at totally wicked).

I'm waiting on a Bartleby and a few 510 Attys as well now. I am currently using a 4081, and, although it isn't too bad, I'm looking forward to a manual battery and a higher voltage mod. Next mod after this one will be a Chuck.

sure, the battery is done quicker because of this, but the postives of the 510 you discovered weight much more inmho.

I agree. The Bartleby is a great little device. Just be careful and try not to drop it onto a hard surface. It is plastic, after all.

What can I say? I have done the exact same thing. I had a 4081 and then moved on to a joye 510. I got a PVC and a USB passthrough. I am extremely pleased! The only piece of advice that I got and haven't seen in this thred is to blow the primer liquid out of the atty. Apparently it tastes like poo. Good luck, gratz on quitting .... logs, and enjoy your 510!!
