On the basis of several recommendations, I came by this non-diacetyl supplier a month or so ago called primevaping and I sampled their Love from Above liquid; then I sampled it again; then twice more. And as I write this, I am proud to admit that I am vaping it right now. It is utterly fantastic- truly enjoyable! So over one month of use- not straight all day, that is- with 18 mg of different pg/vg balance (using a Riva and bloog cartos), these are my thoughts:
(Here with both 18 mg 50%pg/50%vg AND 60%pg/40%vg mix 3 x 10 ml over thirty-four days)
The flavor has an underlying mild but sweet tobacco layer but is carried by tones of chocolate, hazelnut, and a slight touch of a "caramelish" topping. Actually it sometimes tastes (midway on inhale/exhale) like a caramelized hazelnut with cocoa powder, which can be confused with some vanilla and nutella. This is predominantly a tobacco flavor for certain, though even as a foundation the tobacco is not dry or dk tab-like but rather warmly sugared, mild, and silky with a pleasing carry-in; not harsh or chemical-like, and definitely not like a weak Virginia or Mboro. On the inhale, the chocolate/cocoa comes up lightly first then more so on the exhale, but it lingers well for a while and it does not give off a powdery or "chalk-ish" finish on the tongue, palate, and nose. The weird (and best) overlap comes when the chocolate/cocoa crosses the hazelnut/caramelish mix to create one of the most pleasant flavors I have ever experienced.
Vapor Production: 4.5/5
With these types of pg/vg balance, the vapor production is great but not what you might find in a "Sherlockian open-the-window Turkish harem/opium den;" you could of course increase the vg and nicotine level, but I think that would take something away from this blend. I would say this level works very well for me. After sampling several kinds of flavors that have created plumes of vapor, more often than not they lack a certain "style" or taste on exhale. This mix of 60/40 or 50/50 seems perfect in that regard; it provides great vapor while maintaining those dominant flavors. I have also sampled the 100% pg, 100% vg, and 80%pg/20%vg etc.
Throat Hit: 4.6/5
This of course- like most elements in such reviews- is entirely subjective, but after playing around with the pg/vg levels, I found that I get excellent throat hit at the 50/50 & 60/40 level. I used to smoke camel lights for 17 years, which fall somewhere between Winston and Marlboro lights, so I prefer a strong but mild (smooth) TH that does not overwhelm me but should nevertheless be there.
Viscosity/Consistency: 4.3/5
At these levels with empty bloog cartos, the consistency is very good if re-filling is done properly. I have experienced the same flavor in 100%pg and though it has a lower viscosity, it also seems to have a lower "punch" in flavor; the cocoa/hazelnut tones were not so pronounced. In my opinion, 100% vg presents only a slight problem in TH and flavor, and 100% pg is viscous to the point of inhibiting the main flavors.
Overall Score: 4.7/5
This flavor is terribly addictive, truly delicious, and without doubt the most pleasurable vape I have experienced thus far. I think it would certainly satisfy both the tabac and sweet shop vapers. It far surpasses other mild but sweet tobacco flavors in every regard (and I have sampled over 22 flavors and after $240+). The underlying tobacco layer is very warm and pleasant, and its sugary coat- both attached to the tobacco AND coming from the chocolate/hazelnut mix- is not overwhelming in the least. Warm, smooth, slightly sugared cocoa/hazelnut tobacco.. combined perfectly by Jon at primevaping. This really might become your all-day vape. Great find!
Cheers
