Private message disapeared

After writing a friend back and it being on the long side, I noticed how a pop up comes and says auto saved. Well it did that several times during my message. When I hit send I get a error notice about losing connection which I have no idea as to what that's about as other sites are open and working on computer. Now I'm trying to find that saved message and have no clue as to where it might be. Any ideas.

There should be a little button in the lower left portion of the text box that allows you to bring back what you had typed up to the lost connection.

However, if the send was recognized by the system prior to the connection loss, it should have gone through.

Thank you and sure enough it was still there. I just didn't notice the button.
