I sat here typing out that last post whilst the wife was changing to a different juice in her Mini PT2. First it won't feed so I give it a whirl and get it to feed but only by pulling really hard without firing then firing it. Funny, she switched from a 10/90 mix to a 50/50 (much thinner). So I grab a coil that I had rebuilt for my PT2 which was working perfectly in it and FLOOD!!! (that was almost an hour ago and I'm still tasting the $$$$). Now I grab a new, never used coil and it's back to working perfectly.

Tried both coils in my PT2 with a 50/50 and both work perfectly. I don't get it.

Okay, dumb question. Did your wife let it sit and absorb the new juice into the wick first? If not, it's possible that the 10/90 thick juice was still on the wick and keeping it from feeding, then by forcing it you caused it to over-feed. Just a thought, HTH!

She had cleaned the atomizer head with Grey Goose and dried it before filling (I told her Vodka and of course she grabs my bottle instead of the guest bottle of the cheep crap!). I'm not sure why the problems, I could get it to feed but had to do a primer pull on it first. The flooding was with another atomizer I had rebuilt. Both are working perfectly on my PT2 with the exact same juice so not really certain of what the problem was. I have vapemail arriving today with a pack of 50 of the atomizers so she can just replace them and toss the old ones. I'm heading out in the morning and probably won't be back home till mid December and don't want her reverting back to analogues because of frustrations with the Mini PT2.

I just talked to her and it's been working perfectly all morning. She says she's using a lot more juice but I attribute that to the thinner 50/50. Her new living room is scheduled to arrive at 11:30 so she'll be here to supervise that and I'll play with it some more. (I'm fine with the camping chairs I used to replace the sectional we gave to our daughter but alas, it's not my house, I just do laundry here and make the mortgage payments)

I've found that when using high VG concentrations you need to remove at least one flavor wick. I run 20/80 PG/VG in that configuration with no prob. One trick though is when I put in a new head I'll take a few drags without power and see the bubbles coming from the head. Once they stop bubbling I know it's saturated and good to go.

I too was ready to trash my PT2's shortly after receiving them. That is, until I realized that all of the issues were due to the coil. IMO, there is not enough wicking material (both coil and flavor) in them. I learned how to rebuild them (using cotton) and couldn't be happier. It not only took care of the problems, it greatly improved the flavor. If you're not into rebuilding, and many people aren't, I would at least try replacing the flavor wicks with cotton. You can use anything that's 100% undyed cotton. Cotton balls, q-tips, cooking twine (my favorite) or cut up an old t-shirt.

It only makes sense that cotton would wick much better than glass (silica).

:2cool:As I have had my PT3 for a week a now, thus far, at first (the first day) I had a bunch of issues with it and it kept on draining my battery power from my Evod battery and a variable voltage battery which I believe is generic as I bought it from a local vape shop in my area. NOt only those issues, a lot of gurgling and popping in my mouth as well. Felt like a balloon popped or I was eating pop rocks every time I would take a hit. I still have not even changed my original duel coil either and occasionally get a few gurgled pops when I take a hit still, but that is like after the fact, I put it down for a sec to do the dishes or what not. Nonetheless, after reading this post I did try loosening up the connections of my PT3 which was the threaded base (the one with the ridges). As I loosened the threaded base from the metal ring and the beauty ring I have not had any issues with it, since doing this and getting a big hit. The taste has never been better and I do get good amounts of vapes. Now, if I were to compare it with the PT2 Mini I will adhere that I do get easier vape hits from the PT2 Mini; meaning the draw isn't as tight as it is with the PT3. However, my juice would run out soooo much faster with the PT2 Mini as with the Pt3 my 100% EG juice lasts way longer than it did with the PT2 Mini. Therefore, atm I do favor the PT3 because the juicse lasts all day rather than havin to refill it 3-5 times a day. I also guess my coils last sooo much longer because I don't take such huge drags or hits either. On another note, I guess I would need a regular full strong voltage Mod to get bigger hits. But as of right now I am not willing to shell out mega bucks for a Mod battery and as I am pretty petite the are huge for my hands and I feel like I am holding a flashlight. Needless to say, I am tired of using the evod and this generic variable voltage battery from only God knows where, I was wondering if a Innokin VV 3.0 are decent batteries that have long use during the day. I am looking to spend no more than $50 bucks on a battery as the Mods are ridiculously over priced in my opinion as all this stuff is really relevantly new to our generation. Furthermore, us, consumers are willing to shell out a lot of money to for these new gadgets and companies know this because we are somewhat clueless as to what works reliably. But anyways, I also believe it does take a while for the PT3 to break in, because when it is first opened it takes some time for it get adjusted, like buying a new pair of shoes.

Hi Layla welcome to the forum! There are lots of people that can help you here, feel free to start your own thread on this in the new members section.. The battery your using is probably too small to push a dual coil that's why it's running down faster. What size are they 650's or 900's ? The vv3 is an 850 mah battery but it does have much better power output than what you have probably. It would be a good next step. Should be able to get it for as low as 25.00.
