Heat.
The whole point is heating the little toaster coil to the heat that tastes best to you. Some like it really hot and others want it cooler. The heat will effect the flavor of your juice, among some other things.
Try setting up one with 2ohms, and then try one at 1.5 and see which you like better. You will notice a difference.
My preference doesn't matter. Unless you sneak into my body. And then I'll be ......, unless you take me somewhere fun.
Thank You!!I was watching a video on Youtube and the dude was rebuilding an A7 different but the same in a way, it was very informative except instead of cutting off the excess wicking material he shoves it down into the atomizer. Rebuildable Atomizer - YouTube
That A7 has a big well down in there that will hold a lot of wick. It is a dripping atty (top feed) that has been "converted" to a bottom feeder. Our little RM2s don't need a bunch of wick. I usually trim mine pretty close to the posts. Too much wick will interfere with the juice hole (not let the juice drain back down) and/or the air hole.
Sennie, the coil I rolled for you is probably around 1.6 or 1.7 ohm, I think. Can't remember. Here's an ohms chart that tells how many ohms of resistance per inch of wire for each size wire. Resistance Wire (ohms/in)
When you're wrapping a coil, you probably use about and inch and a half of wire for the actual coil. Then another half to three-quarter inch for each leg. I usually cut about 4 inches of wire, then wrap the coil around a little screwdriver about 6-7 wraps. Usually comes out around 1.4 - 1.7 ohms. It's not an exact science.
With a Grand, I usually like pretty low ohms....around 1.3 or below.

If you're wanting higher ohms, use the 32 gauge wire. It will take fewer wraps to get up there. The higher the gauge number, the higher the ohms, so it'll take less of the 32 gauge to get a high ohm coil than it will the 30 gauge. With the 30 gauge wire, you'd need probably 10 or more wraps around that screwdriver to get up to 2.5 ohms or so.
EDIT: The wire I sent you is Kanthal-A (for the sake of the chart in the other thread.)![]()
I don't know what it stands for, but it means gauge.what does AWG stand for?
We live about 4 hours apart, and I'm on vacation this week and next. If you wanna drive two hours and meet me halfway, holler....I'm game if you are!![]()
