I have been vaping for 3 months now and I have a hard time tasting any liquid. I tried juice from J.C. and I can taste the Wisconsin Winter but it is strong and nasty.

I can taste Backwoods Brew pumpkin spice and it is good but I am stuck with one liquid I like and can barely taste most of the time.

Does anyone else have this problem? Everyone raves about backwoods brew and I really want to enjoy their flavors, like the apple and cherry tobacco flavors but I just can't taste it....or it is super faint.

I use revolver elites right now and ordered a revolver Ion hoping that a bigger atty would help the taste but I am not sure what to do.

I only smoked socially (on Friday or Saturday night) when drinking so I don't have a smokers burn out tounge......

All of our taste buds are different. Both Vaporbomb and FreedomsmokesUSA's are good recommendations to try some of their flavors and you can get double flavor which may be what you need. Just remember that both these companies mix to order and some of their flavors need some steeping time after you get them to have the flavor really start to come out. Good Luck!

Strigoi, it has always been like this, I started with J.C.'s expresso, then Marcado, could taste the Marcado but not the expresso, then I went to their Spiced cider, can taste that a little....

bought some backwoods brew and I can taste there pumpkin spice but I also bought apple and cherry tobacco and can taste it sometimes but I can't tell the difference.

I"m not familiar with the elite, I started out with one similar to a vgo (LUX from modern vapor) and quickly went to a 3.7 and a 5v box mod. I use a LR atty on the 3.7v box and a reg. atty on the 5v and I use a drip tip (I have no patience for a cart or cartomizer) and I get great flavor.

I'm a lot like you, I have a hard time with taste, I always ask for as much extra flavor I can get! My recent fav. juice is, of all things, peanut butter! Crazy good! But, if you are like me, switch often between your favs. I start losing the flavor until I take a break. I usually rotate between 3 flavors through the day. Right now it's Peanut butter, waffle and almond joy (and sometimes all together-yum!)

My hubby is going to build me a variable volt flashlight mod...can't wait! Some flavors taste better at higher V's, warmer.

I would say that the flavor problem could be due to using the Elite. You definitely made a step in the right direction by ordering an Ion. I'm not the most knowledgeable member here, but it looks similar to a 510 or kr8. They don't give a lot of information about volts or battery life, so I'm not sure. Anyway, I am sure you'll have more flavor with the next model.

Keep reading all the threads and the stickies at the top of the New Members Forum. You'll get a lot of good information that will help you understand things a lot more.

Welcome to ECF, and enjoy your journey!

Your very welcome!
Really depends on the flavor! Waffle is very strong, but if you really want STRONG, a 5v box mod would be the way to go! or, at least, get LR attys for a 37v. I'll give you an idea of some of the juice I have and MY impression on the strength, yours will vary, of course.

VB- snickerdoodle-strong
VB/FSUSA- waffle-strong
VB-butter mint-low side of med (not fully steeped yet though)
VB-caramel apple-low side of strong
FSUSA-RY4-strong
VB-peanut butter-med
FSUSA-hopscotch-med
FSUSA-butterscotch almond-high side med

**keep in mind, I always ask for extra flavor!

2xAA Box Mod with slow change LED and blue horn switch
Maxi Rough Stack. 3.7 or 6 volts!

Here are a couple low priced mods. The rough stack is extremely durable, box mod is cheap and will last a long time, just not as sturdy. And, unlike kit e-cigs, you only have to replace a common rechargeable battery vs a much more expensive e-cig battery and the kit batts only last a few months...more cost effectie with mods! Just an idea to keep in mind. Only drawback, is the cheaper mods aren't as pretty

Backwoods Brew Peach had a lot of flavor or aroma for me - sweet and peach juicy.

I say flavor or aroma because there really are only a few flavors any tongue can sense - sweet, salty, bitter, sour, savory aka unami. All tastes are a combination of those plus the aroma which I think is actually a stronger clue to what you are tasting. Without aroma an apple and an onion taste the same.

If your sinuses are stuffy (for example) then you can't taste as well. Similarly, if you don't let any of the vapor near your nose, I think you will sense less flavor. You would still taste sweet, for example, but not any particular sweet.
