Problem threading down Igo-L

I just got in an Igo-L rda from Litecigusa and when I tried to thread it onto my two devices (itaste MVP and SVD) it wouldn't thread down. I have a 510 to ego adapter and it will work using that but not on the devices alone. The only that I can tell is that the contacts on the MVP, SVD, and the Igo-L are all the same, they're flat. Whereas with the adapter it has a slit for airflow (no idea if this has anything to do with it).

Any help with this would be appreciated.

What do you mean it won't thread down? If it screws on all the way and doesn't make contact with your device you can push the center pin down on your igo. Remove the igo before pushing on the pin.
I have 3 igo-l's and have them set different for different devices.

I mean it wont screw down, it's like the 510 connection is too small on it

If you loosen the CENTER pin screw slightly, then take a Phillips driver and GENTLY tap the screw it will move down enough to make contact with the battery...
EASY tap.....and best done WITHOUT the coil in place....
Never had to do this with my -L.....but others have used this method for a fix....

Because it does the same with both the MVP and the SVD and it screws properly onto the adapter, I'm pretty sure the issue is the threads on the IGO are a little too big in diameter. It screws onto the adapter because it has, just by luck, a slightly bigger thread than the mods do.

To explain a bit more, thread diameters have a tolerance. So the male thread is a nominal diameter of 0.xxx" +- say 0.003". The female thread has a bigger nominal size with the same tolerance. When both parts are correctly sized (in tolerance) the biggest male thread will still screw onto the smallest female thread.

I would email Litecigusa and explain the situation. They should exchange it for you.

I had that happen on a mini RDA.... wouldn't thread all the way down. What I ended up doing is thread on a 510-510 adapter that I use with my attys and drip shield. I really wrenched the thing down on that adapter. Luckily, the adapter was made out of stronger metal and it did a number on the threads of the mini RDA... kind of retapping the threads enough to let it thread freely on my Vamo.

I use an IGO-L on my MVP, and I had to purchase a 510 to 510 adapter to get it to make contact, and fire. I'm not sure if the SVD has the same 'issue' but on the MVP it seems to be very common. The center pin on the MVP gets pushed down, so it doesn't stick up far enough to make contact.
I don't recommend this, but it works in a pinch. You can take a pin, or small flathead screwdriver and work the center pin on the MVP up just a little bit so it will actually make contact.

Yeah I think your right about that. I contacted Litecigusa and I'm going to send it back and hopefully get it exchanged for another with descent threads. I HATE to send it back though, I built a coil on it and used it and WOW, it performs great

Great to hear they are taking care of it. I thought Litecigusa would. And I know what you mean about the great vape. I feel the same about mine.

Ok so I sent my old Igo-L back and when they received it they compared it to the others that they had and the threads on mine were indeed smaller than the Igo-L's they compared it with. So they sent me another (free of charge at that!) and it fits perfectly flush on both my MVP and my SVD, I'm a happy camper!

Also, the customer service at Litecigusa is great, they were helpful and it shipped extremely fast, like 2-3 days fast, I was very impressed. Gotta give them them an A+ for that.
