I use Halo tritons and G6's. Previously I've used Kanger esmart clearos with good results so I bought a huge batch of them. But I didn't get them where I purchased before and wasn't paying attention (duh) and the older ones are 2.5 ohm with short wicks and the new ones are 2.6-2.9 with long wicks. I've tried 3 of the new ones so far with 3 different flavors/vendors and they all are giving me a burnt taste. Also, seem to be "spitting" fluid and/or condensation from the mouthpiece onto my tongue.

Is this a known issue with the Kanger longer wicks? Are they an older style? Strange, because my Halo triton tanks have long wicks and I don't have this issue.

My main concern with this is - much of what I purchased is going to my niece for Xmas. She liked my G6 and wanted one, so I got her that starter kit, tons of cartos and these clearos, and about 40 juices to try (LOL). But she's not going to enjoy a burnt taste or the spitting bit, and if she doesn't enjoy it, she certainly won't be quitting smoking :(

A lot of those clearos are either overwicked or need some break in time. My advice would be to give the carto, sell off the clearos, and get a Protank 2 or iClear 30 instead. They tend to be a bit more trouble free, and if rebuilding becomes an option later, the Protanks are good for it.

The spitting you are getting is a flood of juice drowning the coils. Since the resistance is higher, the same draw you used to use is pulling juice into the chamber faster than the coil can heat it, but not fast enough to give a gurgle or full flood. Increasing the voltage slightly can possibly fix this. If possible, you might want to remove a small amount of wicking incase the wicks are being choked by the size of the coil. And don 't be scared to try trimming those wicks if you want as well, it might help or might not.
