My battery was exhausted, after a full charged I unpluged it (the blue led was turned off). Today (three day after full charged), I can turn on the battery (my kind of battery need three press at a time to turn on). Plug it in a charger, the blue led flashing 10 times and my charger notice that my battery is stiil full charged. I open the battery to see if there is a short circuit but nothing strange. Using a wire to make a short circuit and the blue led is flashing 3 times so I think the protect circuit is still good but I can turn on the battery. After that I removed the cover of the switch and using a wire to bypass it but still can not turn on the battery. I'm really crazy right now. Please help me to figure out what happen. Thanks so much.

By the way, could you tell me the name of electronic components that usually has been used in a protect circuit of an ego standard battery? Thank you.:(

The protection circuit is faulty, which means the battery is a dud and needs to be returned to the vendor.

If you are good with electronics then there are things you can do as a workaround - but this is not for you. Get a new battery, please. If you are using an eGo type e-cigarette as an alternative to smoking, then it is hard to see how it could work with less than about 4 batteries. A battery might last for 2 weeks or 6 months; you never know when it will stop working, so you need many spares.

If money is a problem, then find a way to have 3 regular 1.5 volt rechargeable batteries in series (AA or penlight cells). They are 1.2 volts in reality, so you get 3.6 to 4 volts. Or you can use 4 in series for about 4.8 to 5.2 volts - don't use an LR atty or carto.
