Same here, I got mine from Volcano and they said they never heard of it happening before and will replace it under warranty, but I have one from totally wicked and so far no problems with it, I'm not sure if it means anything, but the tank fits VERY snugly in the TW atomizer, so snug that you can't turn it once it's inserted while you can turn the tornado tanks 360 with little effort

I was in love with the tank at first.

In less than a week the love affair was over.

The draw is way too hard. It's not a "full" amount of vapor after a while: it's stingy. I want a LOT. Preferably now.

Washing them meticulously did not help except perhaps only a tiny bit.

The difference between a drag on the tank vs. a drag on a LR306 freshly dripped atomizer: Indescribable.

I agree this was a tremendous idea. A good reminder of how many things can yet be discovered in the search for a perfect vape. But I think they need to go back to the drawing board.

I'ma post in this thread:

All my Totally Wicked Atty's have flooded and have become difficult to get a decent hit from. I threw two away *the ones that came with the kit*, and another new one I started using yesterday is already flooding and it suckssssss. It is to be noted that neither of the TW attys came wrapped. Not even the spare one I bought for $16.99.

Anyways, of course I had planned ahead and ordered more spare atties from Liberty-Flights, which came wrapped and were cheaper. I've been using the same atty from Liberty-Flights for over 7 days now, without ANY problems.

Just now, I used my NEW TW atty and I basically couldn't get a good hit from hit, switched the same cartridge to my old LF atty and everything is gravy. (Before you ask, yes I've blown out any primer fluid from the TW atty).. I think it's odd that TW would send me a NEW atty not wrapped, but LF sends atty's wrapped...

Whatever though, I was not going to order from TW again ayways... Just my 2cents.

Same here. The first day, I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. 2 weeks later, it's in the trash pile. Spent most of those 2 weeks screwing with them, pulled the plate out a million times to try wicks of all types, lengths and tightness. Got it to work, but it was always temporary. Eventually the draw got so tight, no amount of cleaning would fix it. Lesson learned.

Notice the rave reviews are from people that *just* got it? Let us know if you feel the same way 30 days later...

The attys are still good for dripping once they are broken in, even if you hate the tanks and they are leaking. Pull out that needle plate with a pair of needle-nose pliers by grabbing the needle and giving it a good pull and use the bridgeless atty to drip. There is nothing wrong with the atomizer underneath. It's the whistle tip and plastic tank that mutes the flavors.

You can also put the needle plate back in if you decide to use the tanks again at another time. Just stick it into a tank and push it back in. It stays in with no problem. I've pulled mine in and out numerous times.

Please let no atty go to waste. Not an LR 306, but a back up in a pinch.

Agreed and I'll add the ones that are raving about flavor must be menthol vapers. You shouldn't have to triple the flavor content of ejuice to get flavor from a PV. All those extra flavor bits are going to clog the wick eventually anyway.

It makes me sad every time the ego-T gets recommended as a first PV to newbies.

But maybe the convenience factor of the eGo-T makes it a great way for beginners to start e-smoking...

And when they want to get better flavour and experience, they can check out other forms of atomisers/cartos...

I've had exactly one leak and it had nothing to do with the atty. I changed the shape of a tank a little by biting down on it. I've personally seen only one other leak and it also had nothing to do with the atty. That guy was vaping outdoors while a low pressure system came in and dropped the temperature from well above zero to well below zero. When that unit warmed back up and the pressure stabilized, it quit leaking.

Mine works great. I'm around a month of using it and still on the first atty. I haven't even had to soak it... just blow it out between tanks. No flavor issues for me, either. Flavors are different in the tank system, but not lacking. The sweet flavors I use (caramel, root beer, licorice, etc) are really about as good as they taste dripped. The tobacco flavors I have - Well, I don't like them as much as I do dripping or even using in a regular old cart, but only because the vapor is quite a bit cooler in the tank system... and they do taste different than I've become accustom to, but I could probably get used to it easily enough if I had to.

The ego batteries are quite good. It's nice to be able to use a 510 atty, carto, or anything else 510. The tanks work fine for a lot of people. The mega attys and carts are pretty good too (if you aren't bothered by the gurgling). The ego system is very flexible, so I can't see any ego recommendation to a n00b being a bad recommendation.

I'm going to guess that the tank system isn't giving a majority of people trouble. I've read the huge ego-t thread and kept up on the other handful of threads on the ego-t as well. In the bog thread, there are about 15 or 20 people who actually said they have a problem. Many of those repeated that sentiment several times each. At least as many people (including me) indicated no serious issues with their ego-t.

It's unfortunate that some people (apparently including you) experience some problems, but saying the system should never be recommended to a n00b seems a little strong.

Don't shed no tears for me. My first pv is the ego t and its great. Only been using it for about 4 days and I do understand from what i've read from others that I might have some problems soon. But for what its worth, it has been really easy to use for a newbie like myself and I ain't even thought about smoking cancer sticks since receiving it. If it only lasts me for a little while, all good by me. then I'll just try something different, say like just buying a couple of standard ego attys and a drip tip. I was spending $120 a fortnight on analogs, so the small amount of money i'd have to spend on parts will be stuff all.
