I recently bought an eSmart KR808D-1 fitting battery and a few eSmart clearomisers to suit. (I already had the 510 fitting eSmart batteries and clearomisers).

Today I used one of those clearomisers for the first time with some Vapology Cappuccino. It was new and likely needs a bit of steeping, but didn't taste too bad.
After while, the mouthpiece suddenly flew off and I'd assumed it had become unscrewed somehow. Not so - the top of the tank had actually cracked and broken off at the neck together with the mouthpiece.
I assumed it had been a faulty one so got another new one - an hour later, exactly the same thing happened!

Has anyone had this type of thing happen before? ...and if so, is it a faulty batch of clearomisers or something to do with the liquid?
Cappuccino is hardly something likely to damage the tanks.

I`ve never heard of anything happening like that before trish. Maybe it is just a dodgy batch, or the clearo`s themselves are just a crappy brand.

If your batteries have a 510 connection you could perhaps get yourself a mini protank or something similar, at least that way you will have something reliable.

Thanks :) - I have a mini Protank 2 coming but it won't replace these I had the problem with - these broken eSmart ones are 808D fitting that I bought from the same place as my 808 eSmart battery - decent site too that many of you use. They have a top coil with visible wicks.

The other ones that fit my 510 eSmarts have the bottom coils. Certainly haven't had a problem with those.

That problem surely couldn't be caused by a good quality cappuccino liquid, so I'd better get in touch with them and tell them about these.

Well, I got a reply from the supplier of those clearomisers this morning.
He said that some liquids do cause cracking in clearomisers and to stop using the liquid in them!

Plain cappuccino? Does that sound feasible?
If that causes those to break, then what can I put in them!

What a load of tosh that is trish, I use the cappucinno in a russian with a plastic tank with no issues whatsoever. Obviously he is just fobbing you off with a response like that. I wouldn`t touch a vendor like that with a very long pole !

Well, I'm inclined to agree with you Terry.
I hesitate to question or contradict what a supposedly experienced supplier tells me, but my own common sense tells me something's questionable there!

Trouble is, they're one of our trusted and respected UK suppliers! I certainly hadn't expected that reply.

I just ordered a few more from a different supplier and will use that very same Vapology Cappuccino in one to see what happens.

The only other time I had something faulty: 2 Evod batteries one with a sticking button, the other with intermittent charging, they were replaced immediately ...got them next day. That was MisterEcig, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again - in fact, I did.

Well i can say quite confidently trish, and as you say yourself cappucinno would not cause a problem like you had. It really surprised me that you got a response like that.:?:

Yes, quite surprising.
I'm pretty sure that perhaps you and many others here will have used that company too!

I got my mini Protank2 kit today and a spare tank I ordered to go with it ....bought from the same company, so not as if I've never bought from them before or since!

Never mind, I'll put it down to (costly) experience.
I'll soon know when I use that Cappuccino in another poly clearomiser.

TBH with you trish, i don`t recall ever using them. But at least you have got your protank now, and as they are pyrex glass you can vape whatever tickles your fancy including citric juices. :)

I don't think I actually mentioned their name, but no doubt it's fairly easy to work out ...it just surprised me as I hadn't expected that response.

I'll have to give the Protank a try soon! :)

Yes, you have it nailed now! :) But, if you wanted the first lot of text properly in a quote panel, you'd need to put the [/*****] after the paragraph ending in 'to see what happens'.

Anyway, thought I'd just say that I hadn't given the name of the clearomiser company in case anyone thought it was MisterEcig, which of course it wasn't - They're really good.

No worries Terry, I'll just forget it ...sort of! ;)
