It happened to me too... The spring problem. Was given same advice from Kim at Provape about carefully stretching the spring. Naturally it escaped out of my end cap and my fingers, landed who knows where. They were kind enough to mail me a couple more. Took a few tries to get it secure in the end cap. Success !

Well Gentlemen (I assumed most of the responders to my post are male due to their names here. If not I do apologize), it seems yet again this forum in one way or another has come to my rescue. I adjusted the spring and my beloved device seems to be fully operational again. Many thanks.

Congrats!

Keep in mind that it could require it again after a while..

Also be mindful that you could potentially accidently pull out the spring, and would have to screw it back in..

To prevent that from happening with my extension cap, I use a small flat-head screwdriver to hold the base of the spring in place as I stretch it...

I had a friend who bought a ProVari and he was having some really wierd problems like voltage check going all wonky and we did the spring pull and it works.

I guess everything comes to question if the battery doesn't have good contact.

I use Noalux on the battery tube threads for all my devices. I know that there are concerns of galvanic corrosion using Noalux on stainless steel, but ProVape has suggested Noalux since forever and I have not seen a single case of a mod undergoing galvanic corrosion using Noalux.

I'm wondering if Noalux would help on some of these issues.

You mean Noalox? :D

I just posted this in another ProVari thread.. I think a lot of vapers could benefit by doing this more than once in a blue moon...

Cleaning?

Q-tips, paper towels, isopropyl alcohol & Noalox (or Ox-Gard)..

You can find the 1st three at your local supermarket.. You can find the last 1 at Lowe's/Home Depot in the electrical section

Probably run you a total of $10

I bet 10 minutes with the above would fix many PV issues...

I have a Provari 2.5 and I use it quite often. Mostly hanging from my neck as I do construction and generally beat it up. Not on purpose it just happens. Never had any issues. Didn't like the tank I got with it and put on a Nautilus Aspire tank and cartomizers. No leaks. Great usage time on the batteries. I use the 18650. I love it.

But just like any product there happens to be one that gets past quality assurance.

If you go to Provapes Provari page you can download the users manual. It gives you all the info on it and how to return.

It seems like to me, a wise and handsome fellow wrote a blog about this very issue....

Yeah, but who reads that stuff? ;)

Seriously, I think this is an under-discussed topic..

It wouldn't surprise me if a decent chunk of vapers / ProVari owners don't do this often enough -- or even at all...

I think we would see a lot less electrical issues if they did proper & scheduled maintenance...

I agree. I got an E4 error earlier today. Once I dumped the few drops of water out of the end cap and hosed the inside of the ProVari with a hair dryer until the tube was warm, the E4 error went away.

Did I mention that I accidently knocked my ProVari into a sink full of water? The Kayfun suffered the worst. I almost had to re-wick it.

Even a charming and majestic lion has limits as to how much attention he can call to this...

Well this a post I never wanted, or expected, to put up here. I emailed ProVape last night to see how I go about sending it back to them. I am only posting here to see if anyone else has had similar problems.
I got my Provari (standard size) along with 6 18490 batteries from Provape in early February. Honestly I haven't really used it a great deal because it never leaves the house and I just tend to use my Silver Bullet most of the time. In the last several weeks I have had several problems which give me doubt in its reliability. Considering that I bought it mainly for reliability that is a huge concern.

First problem: using the device one evening with a Kanger Protank and everything seems fine. Go to bed so I turn it off. Next morning turn it back on and it gives me an error code with the same protank that had been working fine the night before. Put on a different protank and it seems to work fine.

Problem 2: I start getting flashes on the button, although that doesn't seem to affect performance. Give the device a thorough cleaning as directed on the provape site. Problem continues at random times.

Problem 3: I put in a freshly charged battery and get nothing. No light, no power, nothing. Bear in mind, considering how recently they were bought and how little they have been used they are pretty much brand new. Check the battery on my SVD. Full charge and fine.

So there you have it. Has anyone else experianced anything remotely similar?

Does Provape offer the option of a refund, or do they simply do repair or exchange?

This is the biggest disappointment I have had since I starting vaping. I really had high expectations.

Hello Havoc,
Sorry to hear you are having issues my friend.
The led flashing can be caused from a few things unfortunately.
1. Battery spring may have gotten compressed and may need stretched out a little.
2 threads of the end cap and inside the battery tube may be dirty.
3. Positive contact post inside of battery may. Be slightly dirty.

You stated your battery was charged so low battery power is not the cause.

As for your pro tank, check your coil, sometimes the coils can unscrew on they're own or it may have gone bad overnight (somehow) sometimes it's hard to explain Clearomizer coils. If it works fine on another pro tank, the issue has to be with the coil or pro tank bottom base.

Kindly,

Ken

Did I mention that I dropped mine in a toilet bowl....yes it was not a fresh clean pee pee free bowl....anyway cleaned it up, dried it out with a blow drier and then set it by the fireplace for a couple hours....all was good but did have to clean all the contacts with iso alcohol because of the errors generated....the simple things are the most overlooked in an electrical device....Noalox is a real foolproof maintenance item that I have done since day one on my Provari...:D
