I am vaping 50/50 5% menthol 7% raspberry and 6% nic. Very nice DIY mixed and no problem except I vape tooooo much. I get the too much nic feeling later in the day so I have a separate tank filled with no nic and spend some time on that. I decided that I liked my menthol and rasberry so much I would have the same with no nic so I started my mixing program and just changed the nic... Nothing else. I am finding it very hard on the throat and after a while it makes me cough, badly. I have never had this with any liquid before and I can't believe removing the nic would make such a difference.

If you are vaping 6% nicotine, you are vaping 60 mg/ml. No wonder you'd get the too much nic feeling, but I'm surprised you don't get it earlier in the day.

Did you mean you're vaping 0.6% nicotine (6 mg/ml)?

I guarantee you I will also vape more frequently and more deeply, and experience some throat irritation, if I lower my nicotine concentration. Rather than go from nicotine to no nicotine during the day, vape a lower concentration all day long. That may solve your too much nic feeling without your body having you vape incessantly when it isn't getting nicotine.

Ok, just reread your post. What did you replace the nic with to keep the % the same?

I have a program on my iPad and I just change any of parameters and it tells me what to mix....... I do think about what it is telling me just to check it not doing something stupid but I rely on it to get the details correct.

Stupid me yes I meant 6mg. I have got down to six for just that reason. I thought I was doing good by vaping some 0mg. I has not thought of it but I wonder if it the slight difference in the tank?

Do you think going to zero nicotine is a good thing if it causes you to vape much more, putting much more PG, VG, and flavoring into your lungs (I assume you inhale) and causing coughing and throat irritation?

What do you have to lose by mixing some of your 6 mg and 0 mg of the same flavor, maybe 2:1 for 4 mg/ml average or 1:1 for 3 mg/ml average, and trying to vape that all day long?

After learning where raspberry flavoring comes from in another thread, I'd blame that!

Ohhhh. That sounds ominous. Tell me more.

While I am here. I have a feeling about the too much nic. How long does it stay in my system? Like am I starting the day with a high level of nic and then adding to it. I have come down in stages from 24mg (got it right that time). But each time it seem to catch up with me. I do only have 50% kidney function...... Could that mean I clear the nic slower than other people? Just thinking.
