Got my order last week and have been having much fun with my contest winnings (thanks Danno and Chris) and all the other goodies.

When I tried out my new Pen Style Cone I found have a bit of a problem. The Pen Style screw on cap won't screw on as there is no thread on the top part of the cone (see pic below).

Normally this would just be a case of exchange I would imagine but as I live in Australia that becomes a bit of a problem.

So what I'd like to know is if anyone knows if a thread could be cut onto the cone (and still look OK), and if so what is the size and type of thread I'd need to get cut.

Any help would be appreciated, as I do not have any expertise in tap & dies, thread types etc.

I think your going to have a really hard time trying to find a die that will work. Judging by the threading on a regular eGo cone and the thin walls you're better off trying to get a replacement one. That thread is probably metric and just eyeballing the closest equivalent would be about 40 threads per inch. Even if you could find a die for it, the cost for it would be way too expensive. Your pic shows one thread and the base cut needs to be oversized for more threads to be cut through it. JMHO. A machinist would probably charge you more for set up time than the actual time to cut it.
