Problem with sentinel M16

The part at the bottom that you twist to lock the firing button is stuck. Not the firing button but the actual screw part. How do I get it unstuck

Run it under hot water.

Or freeze it. Either should work. I assume you're talking about the locking ring.

Yeah, that's the lock ring. It sticks. Don't over tighten it either way.

It looks like the aluminum m16. Be super careful with the 510 threads. They strip easily. That's a hard hitting mod and it has a nice button though.

Both water and the freezer are safe. You're just trying to get the metal to shift a little. Make sure you take it apart first and just put the button in the freezer. It also helps to disassemble the button. It happens to mine a lot. Not a big deal.

Freeze it until it unsticks, or freeze it some more.

You'll probably have to crank it...is that a clone? Mine does the same too. Pop it off the mod/body and try unthreading it. If you have a thick rubber band, use it to get some grip.

I have a problem with the button switch unscrewing by itself, requiring me to re-tighten it often. Any simple fix for this?

Edited: Solved problem by inserting half a cut-off kanger coil insulator in the screw-on switch contact.

Pipe wrench should do it... I've also #$@#$@ up a lot of things with Vice Grips.
