Problems building on drop dead

Hello ecf,

I just received my new Drop Dead 2 days ago. I am really excited to use it, because I loved the Dead Rabbit. I used the DR to quit smoking a little over 4 months ago. However, I spent almost all day yesterday trying to get a coils to mount properly. I kept having the leads get caught up in the threads of the grub screws. I use regular 28g, 26g, or 24g Kanthal to make my coils, I did just get a litte ss316 to mess with.

Does anyone know a way to keep the wire from getting caught in the threads of the grub screws? It wouldn't be a problem with a fancy build, but I'm not good enough at building fused claptons yet.

I have this issue with my Drop Rda aswell sometimes, i use either a screwdriver with my other hand to keep it in front of the screw or a pair of pliers.

More often than not i leave it in the threads and it never affected either my resistance (unless using SS which i then lock it) or my vape experience.

If a RDA won't trap single 26g, I wrap a parallel, with twisted leads.

Hey puffon. I have often wondered if I could twist leads on my parallel builds without effecting the ohms much. Are you verifying that it is safe to do so. I mean I will of course meter the coil before installation. How does it effect ohms? Plus or minus on meter? Just asking as I have not tried it and it may simplify installation, especially on my small decks like my flavor monster Bambino. Tiny deck. Micro parallel dual coils. 26 AGW kanthal, 1.75 mm id @ about .24 ohms.

Haven't tried both ways on the same build, to compare, but don't see why it would change ohms, as the wire mass is the same.
