Problems posting...please help

I thought that my post count was past the required number to post in other forums but for some reason I am restricted from posting????

Also, I responded to a PM but when I checked my 'sent' folder, the message count there is 0 and I can't find my response...am I doing something wrong? And I added a profile image...it shows up when I look at my profile from the profile tab but is not showing up in my posts.

1. where were you trying to post, when you got that message?

2. you can save sent messages two ways

While creating a message go to towards the bottom of the page and check "save a copy to sent box" (paraphrased)

or

To always save sent messages ... click on settings (top of every page ) look for "general settings" in the menu on the side
then look for "Private Messages" section and select to save sent messages

And what you are referring to is an avatar and not your profile picture. Edit your avatar so it will show up in posts.

Thanks everyone for your help! I originally tried to post this message in the 'Site Feedback & Help' forum but I was not allowed, hence the question about posting restrictions....I haven't tried posting to another forum since and am not sure what the problem may have been...but 2 posts ago (post count 16), would I have been restricted from posting in other forums?

No, after post 15 you can post in all forums.

You can, but it can take up to an hour for the forum to "update" and recognize your new post count and thus grant you the access associated with the higher post count.

Hmmmm...well, I completed my 15th and 16th post sometime yesterday and tried to post my question in the other forum this morning, so, I'm still stumped

I'll try posting in another forum again and see what happens.

Are you trying to post in the "Ask the Veterans" forum? All posts there are moderated (made invisible) until they are answered by one of our veteran members. I do see your post count has increased since I responded to the thread, so it must be working somewhere.
