Problems with Kanger RBA

Sorry for taking so long to respond, below are some pics, i rewicked it so that it no longer leaks out the airflow, but i still get bits of liquid coming up and i get dry hits if i go over 25 watts
i would say before you go any further either clean that coil or replace it
you do not want to inhale them particles that have come off the coil and onto the wick

I personally have not been able to go over 25 watts for long. It heats up too quickly and I get a dry hit after the first 2 pulls. There is a video that I will share that the guy goes into higher wattage with the way he wicks. I have tried it once but not mastered the technique yet. Hope this helps.
What ohm did that build come out to?
It's a little hard to give a good guess as to what your problem is without a side-view of the coil, but it almost looks a little over-wicked to me. As in, coil stuffed too tightly with cotton. The tails look okay, which is probably what solved some of the airflow hole leakage, but if the cotton is too tight in the coil it doesn't let the liquid pull into the center of the coil area.
There are a bunch of YouTube videos that show different building techniques on the RBA. Watch a few and see if you can get some pointers and insights.

Wicking is and has been the downfall of this rba. When it's good, everything is great. I've replaced the wicking in mine 3 times in one day. It's just a learning curve to get it right.
Thanks for all the help.everybody, ive been able.to.re-wick it at 1 ohm using thicker cotton material and im able to vape with pretty good flavor at 25 watts with no juice coming up. But if i go to 30, i end up getting a hit that taste like cotton. Im sure ill learn how to wick it better down the line

It sounds like you are getting dry hits at higher wattage, or maybe on the verge of getting dry hits. On my subtank mini, I keep the airflow on the medium setting, and I have found that it gets too warm for me over 20w. If you have the airflow set to the most open setting, and you are tasting cotton, then you may be exceeding the capacity of the RBA. I believe that the video above is showing the full size Subtank, and it sounds like you are using the Subtank Mini. You may not get the same results as the guy in the video.
If you are after more vapor, and that is why you are trying to go higher than 30w, I suggest looking into a different tank.
If you are happy with the flavor and vapor production below 30w, and you fixed the flooding, than keep it under 30w and be happy! You figured it out!
Yea, i tried the technique in the video and it did help to lessen some resistance i was getting off the pull.
Id like more vapor and in the future i will probably invest in both a better, more veraatile and longer lasting mod, im considering the xcube 2 and tank, but for the.meanwhile im sticking.with my setup
