Problems with my Doc Dave mini micro.

I cannot get this setup. I've tried everything I can think of, but I cant get juice to wick up the mesh. Any advice would be awesome. If I cant figure it out, I just wasted money.

I made a hybrid wick with my rba and works better. I took a piece of ekowool and wrapped it in mesh. So far so good, works better.

All else make coil and run cotton up from tank to coil.

you need to hit up the rba forums for lots of advice about coils.

but it kinda sounds like maybe the mesh is rolled too thick/tight and possibly oxidized too much

Got it sitting on a nemesis. 400 mesh 26 and 28 ga kanthal. Trying to get like 5 wraps. I've never had a genny give me this much trouble. But damn those wick holes are small.

I just got one, and it's working fine. If the problem is with wicking, you should try different amounts of mesh. Try more or less until it works. I haven't had a single issue with mine, and it'll be worth the hassle. I didn't pay attention to how much mesh I used, but the wicks did end up being pretty tightly rolled, and fit snugly through the holes. I'm using 30 gauge kanthal on mine, I'm right at 1 ohm.
