Problems with Vicious Ant's Valkyrie - Possible recall?

I just started hearing problems with silverback switches too.

yeah, something about the spring being garbage? That's crazy and sucks.

Just got my switch upgrade in the mail. Not sure how this completely solves the problem but ok. I'll give it a shot and keep everyone posted.

so after using the new switch upgrade i have to say it is working well so far. it does reduce the throw of the switch but the new spring and bottom post seem to be doing the trick so far

I got it two days ago, installed it, quite hard to press the delrin down. Well, done it, put some noalox just in case, and today, again hot button. I have to say, I also see the spring as part of the problem. The button wobles a bit, thus making better or worse contact depending on how you press it. VA could have done a much better work with the button, they tried something different and it's a failure.

I love the PV, but I'll have to fix it myself somehow. I'll see if I can get some magnets to start with...

Did they send you a replacement spring too? I got a replacement button and a beefier spring. Mine definately works now

Anyone in Canada have these yet? I keep seeing posts from folks saying they got them with apothecar E logos on them ..which is Canadian. I haven't received anything yet though.

No, they sent me the bottom delrin and the button, no spring. Holly molly, there are different fixes being sent? Anyway, I've found magnets, I'm going to try those...

Shocking, I know but they must have screwed up your upgrade kit. Mine came with the delrin piece, the button that has the looks like silver or rhodium coating on the contact and a new spring that is thicker gauge has a tighter coil and is also coated in what the contact is. Anyone else get something different?

Yep - got mine yesterday via FedEx. I'm near Hay Lakes. Patience ronjamesmajor-san.

ETS: mine came with logo-button, delrin, spring, and that little c-thingy - aka locking ring.

Patience paid off. My switch showed up in the mail two days ago....and the valk left me for a pretty rad trade Yesterday Morning.

Update on my end here... Eventually it just stopped firing. Took it apart tonight and saw an arc spot on the contacts. Sanded them down on a wet stone, applied some petroleum jelly, and now it's hitting better than ever.... Temporarily I'm sure. I sure hope that our vendors who did pre orders just ship us these switches when they get em no questions asked. Gorgeous mod and I hate tearing it down to fix it.

I had the same problem. Took my button assembly apart and took some fine grit sand paper and sanded all the contacts flat and it fires like a dream with very little pressure. I love my mod now!!!
