I have mini vivi nova tanks, and recently bought some atomizer heads from here: Atomizer Head for Vision Vivi Nova Tank

I got them, and tried twice to change the heads with the new heads, and they will not work. they will not even dry burn. i made sure to screw them on tight. I got the vivi nova tanks originally at a B&M.. but they did not come in a kit and were sold individually with just the one head screwed on . the heads have a little metal pointy thing on top with a small hole surrounded by rubber, while i notice the ones i just bought have a flat circular 'O' metal piece on top surrounded by rubber.

what is going wrong here? am i putting them on wrong? did i get the wrong heads? could i possibly originally have bought knock off tanks and the replacement heads dont work with them?

any advice would be appreciated :)

mind taking a picture of what you're takling about? although what the top of the head looks like shouldnt affect its operation imo...
i'd compare the side that scews into your post.

do you have a device that can take a resistance reading? this should tell you if its making contact at all.

edit: actually im positive the top of the head (rubber with the metal o ring ish thing in it) doesn't have anything to do with it working or not working

Hmm. I'm gunna say that the orginal mini vivi nova was a knock off. Usually if there is a metal pointy thing that comes up higher then the grommet, its fake. The link u attached is a real vivi nova head.
Don't worry, I had the same problem. Took me awhile to figure it out.

I have a strange assortment of smoktech mini vivas and aClear vivas, I rebuild the heads with cotton wicks. And often get them confused, an aClear head will not work with smoktech. I'm sure this is the same with genuine vivas too. There's a couple millimeter difference between the heads on the bottom part (going into the tube), the contacts don't touch so no power can be applied to the coil. Bottom line is the heads you purchased don't match your viva.

The tank you bought is most likely a Smoktech brand and the heads are Vision brand. Try the Smoktech version.

For Reference here is a Smokteck Vivi Nova kit showing the "pointy thing on top"

And here is the Vision Vivi Nova without the "pointy thing"

NOTE: The pictures are of the "mini" kits but the heads for both sets are the same for their respective brand. Just the brands are different.

cant be sure, but it looks like there are more threading on the smokteck vivi's so the contact may be more recessed in there than the vision post, if that is correct, then she should just be able to pull the center pin of the vision head out a little and make contact on the smokteck post...

Though I am sure you've found you're answer I have noticed with my Vision Vivi Novas if I screw down the top cap all the way it sometimes won't fire. It apparently causes that little o ring that sits on top to somehow interfere with it firing.

Now I don't know how experimental you are. I might just be wasting Internet space here, but if I leave a small bit of the top unthreaded it works fine.

yes, my original tanks were the smoketech kind, the first link you posted, the heads i bought look like the second pic. so.. are these both vivi novas or is the smoketech a knock off?

yes, the bottoms are different, how do you pull the center pin?
