Would like to ask who your barber is? So I know to avoid him ha-ha!
Other than that have to agree 6v on 901 sucks and just isn`t worth doing IMO!
A few people have commented like you on finish of the device which isn`t very good when you are spending £££ ?
Excellent Vid as always, Crash.
I did hear someone say somewhere that the threads loosen up and the parts become easier to use with repeated screwing and unscrewing so maybe they are just a little bit burred in the threads? WD-40 maybe?
Not too pleased to hear about the slightly dodgy finish on yours at the ends. I guess it's one of those things and would cost even more if it was absolutely perfect......
I do like the interchangeable caps on the prodigy- not enough to buy one yet though.........
How soft is the button action?
Nice review Crash! A little surprising however. I have a Prodigy and the finish is fine. I really like mine and I like the button placement.
The threads are fine after 2 - 3 screwings (LOL). I use a 901 atty and haven't fried one yet. I use the switch that came with it...resistored I think.
I vape HEAVILY an the batteries last at least 1/2 day maybe longer with no real loss of power.
Customer service has been good and the forums are pleasant and helpful. The supplier forums have not yet digressed into dating sites nor have they become flame wars so info is plentiful and pleasant. If problems arise they are addressed promptly through PM or email and evidently satisfactorily as I have not seen complaints nor have I seen deleted posts.
I highly recommend the product. That being said, it is the only mod I own beside the PS PT.
Just my two cents
So you like the Prodigy at 3.7v better than the higher voltages? I tend to agree. At first the thing is a beast but I started noticing a different flavor with my juices. Some that I really liked before I don't like at 5v. Switching the same atomizer between the Screwdriver and the Prodigy I notice a huge change in taste. After seeing this and thinking about it I will be trying the big 3.7v battery. But I WILL need that switch without resistor to use that. From what I hear if you run that big battery with the resistor it steps the voltage down to under 2v. That resistor works by a percentage I think. So it would make the 3.7 batt not too good. All told to change the Prodigy from 5v to 3.7 it's like 59 bucks. Are you saying that if I got one of those universal chargers I could charge all of my different batteries with it. I currently have the RCR123 and the 16340 SD batteries.
Thanks..
I would think the same thing about that resistor but you might want to check that out. That is just what I heard on the PS forum. Everyone says that it reduces the voltage too much. You have that switch with resistor ordered don't you? Let me know if you can use that big battery with the resistor. I have that switch in mine and would like to use the 3.7 big battery. But from what I understand is I need the switch without resistor to use it.
Yea let me know. PM me if it works OK with the resistor. If I can get away without buying that switch it would be nice. They should make a switch with a removable resistor. Pop it out and put a dummy one in its place. Hey that just gave me an idea. Hmmmm...
Finally got my switch, I don't seem to be having any problems so far, from what I can tell from the throat hit and vapor it is indeed 3.7v and 5v compared to 3.7v and 6v.
You may be able to do just fine vaping with the resistor and one 18650 battery, but you are indeed running the Prodigy at under 3 volts. This has been confirmed by Puresmoker quite a few times. ;-)
