I am considering getting one of these three, but thought I would get your all's advice first.

1) I'm not into dripping, prefer a cart.
2) Prefer the 801 atty
3) SB sold out no indications when available again
4) Screwdriver sold out at TW should be in soon:oops:
5) Prodigy says it takes 2-3 weeks to ship:mad: (Seems awfully long)

So, given these conditions, what would your recommendations be?

Thanks again!

Any three of those would be a huge improvement over typical e-cig batteries. Your decision should also focus on form factor, safety and style. Unfortunately, most of those listed are backordered either because they are produced in low volume or there are many orders yet to be filled.

Do you want a device that provides similar voltage to a typical e-cig battery (3.7 volts) yet with a longer run time? Are you interested in high-voltage vaping (5+ volts)? Do you want a device capable of running at different voltages (i.e. 3.7 v & 6v)?

Just in case you are not aware, consider looking at these devices as well.

AdapteveR - http://www.adaptever.com/product.sc?categoryId=1&productId=1
Super T1 - Super T Manufacturing

I am laying my DIY modded devices to rest upon arrival of my Super T1 for the 801 atomizer. Between that an the DSE601 e-pipe, I should be satisfied for a long time (fingers crossed).

Sheerluckholmes:

Why not make your own battery mod. They are easy to make and are 1/10th the cost of the Prodigy, GG, Screwdriver.

I see that you are in Tempe. Did you join the AZ VIP's here on the forum. If so I will be teaching our local members how to make your own magnum, or nicostick at our next meeting. Both are easy to make and its fun as well.

Honestly?

With those criteria, there's really only one choice and that's The Prodigy. Others my have their opinion, but the Prodigy 801 with a BE112 atomizer and a straw-modded cart is damn hard to beat right now if you are an 801 fan.

+1, I agree completely with this advice and set up.:thumb:

Hi SheerLuckHolmes.......

Like breakfastchef a lot depends on if you happy with 3.7v or not? If you wanted a SD they are in stock at Trogs website below

The ScrewDriver Online Electronic Cigarette Shop

I have Tried a few mods/battery packs or whatever you like to call them and the SD is still one of my firm favourites! There a forum here if you want to take a look?

- The ScrewDriver - An electronic cigarette that simply works

I am waiting for the super T as well, and was lucky enough to sneak in for one of the last of the second batch! So a lot depends on how quickly you want the device as most are in shortage at moment?

Also have you considered the Janty stick V2?

This is a good little device, and a good review is here!

All those products are different and are in their own league. They are all mostly different in:

Form - size and button/activation placement

Battery - Different voltages and such

Taste - The different voltages change the taste of the liquid

Atomizer - Some have interchangeable parts for different vaping preferences

Im sure theres more I just cant think of them off hand. From those main categories you should determine what you like. Most responses you get will be fanboys giving their personal preferences. Not a bad thing, just how it is.

So after saying that, my personal preference is the screwdriver. I dont consider myself a fanboy, it just went with my personal preferences.

I liked the draw and taste of the 901 and thought the voltage was fine. The throat hit was good and I found out that if I wanted a larger one I would either draw longer or go higher strength. The only problem was that my batteries on my 901 died too fast. The screwdriver was the most logical solution. I already had the 901 atomizers (take that into consideration too) so it worked. If there is something in the future that I decide works better I will use it, but for right now this works. (Except for the f***ing button falling off. There is never enough epoxy/glue to hold it to save my life)

Lastly just be aware of how much nicotine you are putting in your system. The stuffs toxic and those 6 volt users seem to go through eliquid like it was water. (Again, personal preference) Use it to replace analogs not your tobacco hookah for crying out loud.

This is a personal preference choice and can only be decided by you. No product is better than the other.

I'd say go with the Prodigy "Duke". I know 2-3 weeks is a long time to wait for such a lovely toy, but it's totally worth it, and you wont find better customer service. Not to mention, it's made right here in the good ole USA. If you order anything; be it on the internet or off tv, they can take 4 to 6 weeks to ship.

The Prodigy can be run at 3 different voltages to suit your needs and I've read of several cart users who are very happy with their Prodigy.

I think I must need some help from you guys. I researched and researched and decided on the Prodigy, which I bought. Eagerly awaited its arrival and set it up. It tasted terrible, but I figured that would pass, so I persevered. Long story short it completely MELTED the cart No it was NOT dry). I wrote to the nice people there who told me outright that the Prodigy was NOT meant to be used with carts, only with dripping, that it was too powerful for carts (even though they had sent me one..the one that melted)

I am just not that interested in dripping all the time, because much as I love vaping and get a huge kick out of all it involves, I really have no time or interest in making vaping a full time job/hobby

So my Prodigy is packed away on the top of a deep cupboard against the day that the powers that be might make it impossible for me to get anything else...which would be the ONLY time I would use it.

On the other hand, I would be just delighted if one you you Prodigy users have some insight that could allow me to use the thing?

Hard to compare the Silver Bullet to anything at the moment, especially since only 3 people have tried it ;) Majority of the preorders are in the mail, so wait about a week to see if it flops =P lol

Might want to give them an idea as to win they will be available for general sale versus preorder. :)

Hey Mel, we haven't carried cartridges for over 3 months now. No Prodigy units were sent out with cartridges because we do not recommend using the Prodigy with cartridges. I'm sorry that this was misunderstood. I'd recommend checking out some of the posts regarding which cartridges people are successfully using with the Prodigy. Also, keep in mind that we now carry different atomizers than we used to, so the old cartridges do not fit correctly due to the placement of the bridge.

I am just not that interested in dripping all the time, because much as I love vaping and get a huge kick out of all it involves, I really have no time or interest in making vaping a full time job/hobby

Check out the PS subforum- tons of talk about this topic.

I hope this helped a bit!

Nicotine in the amounts used in cigarettes, snuf, PV's, etc. is NOT toxic!! Where do you come up with such BS. Addictive, yes, toxic, no. It is not and has never been a carcinogenic substance.

Whoa whoa buddy settle. I get that, but most studies done with nicotine clearly state that its a toxic substance, well, because it is. Just because you get it in lower quantities doesnt keep it from being a toxic substance.

Its the amount I see people vape and I was cautioning this individual. Dont blow up when I dont like your device. Like I said through my whole post its "personal preference." You want to do it, go nuts.

It has nothing to do with the device! It has to do with out of context statements that scares new members. It's just a scare statement with no relevance or benefit! There is already enough of that from ASH without you adding to it on this forum.
