I just received a couple new juices in the mail I ordered from Modern Vapor. I opened the pack and have to say I'm very disappointed and I haven't even tried them yet. Both of my juices are dated over a year ago. This is quite surprising seeing as though I love the equipment Modern Vapor has sold me. My PT, LUX and all my atty's are great, just a disappointment that when wanting to try their juices I was sent something with a PRD 1/06/2010. And that's the newer of the two. Very Disappointed. Needless to say I'm not to optimistic with how they are going to turn out. I won't judge a book by it's cover though and I'll check back in after my reviews. Maybe I have become spoiled because Im so used to getting juices from other vendors that are made fresh.

Anyone else have this issue??? I love Mordern Vapor I really do they broke me free of my analogs and have been very consistent with high quality equipment and parts. What happened???

I could be wrong so someone please correct me if I am. People seem to say that the juice not only doesn't go bad with age but gets better - look up steeping. I've always thought that if this is true then companies should steep it themselves because I don't want to buy fresh juice with the expectation that I should have it sit around for a month before using it. When I buy it, I want to vape it. Anyway, based on that info, your juice should be better than fine. That being said, I stopped buying juice from China so I may not be much help because I haven't had that issue. I mainly buy Halo. Hopefully someone else can be more helpful here, but if you feel its a problem, shoot MV an email for their take on it.

Thanks Garnoch I totally understand what your saying about juice getting better with age. It was just shocking to see that my liquid was made over a year ago and that the expiration date is a year or less away!!!! Like I said before haven't tried the juice yet but the date alone shocked me. This is actually the first time I ordered juice that was made in china but was curious because I've been so pleased with their equipment and pasts that I had to try out MV's juice. Makes me feel like they focus more on parts and equipment and juice is an afterthought. Which is cool with me, I am not going to stop getting my atty's from Tony, just might not get juices.

Good point. When MV sold only China juice, I thought the same thing. In fact, it seems there are places that sell hardware and offer juice as a courtesy (usually from China) and then there are places that make and sell juice - most of those seem to not sell hardware or are starting to as an after thought. Recently though with MV adding Halo and USA juice, perhaps they are getting more serious about juice? Selling their China stock off? No idea actually, but I understand your concern. I'd love to see a hardware company (MV?) bring together one store to sell juice from multiple vendors. Why stop with Halo? :) Unless that's part of the deal of course.

Well, I can comment on the steeping part. I would say if you got juice from this time last year, chances are you're REALLY gonna like it. They do get better with age. Lots of my flavors from MV and other vendors got much better after about 6-9 months of age. Even a couple that I simply forgot to throw away turned out really good after some time.

This coming from a 2nd-hand MV purchase from a friend that bought juices in January '10 that were "born on 11/6/09, and I didn't start using them until 9/30/10. And they were/are DELICIOUS, esp. the ones I haven't gone through yet.)

I actually think either the RY4 formula has changed since then, or the steeping is just THAT important. My Nov '09 RY4 was the bomb. My July '10 RY4 is "meh." I'm letting that one sit for a while before I revisit it.

Oh, and I'm not sure if Tony is clearing his stock, or if he's buying in to what other vendors are doing, as there are others who are now stockpiling for 6 months or better before they sell.

A year to 18 months is supposed to be the life span of e-Juice. At least that is what most people agree on. That being if the juice is stored at a constant temperature out of light.

I agree that juice does mature with some aging but I would NOT use juice that was a year old unless I knew Exactly how it was stored. But that's just me.

I don't wanna be that guy Gar it's not a big deal really, we've talked before about MV and their high quality equipment. A couple older juices isnt going to turn me off from their great customer service and equipment. For what it's worth I'm not concerned. This all started just as a shock that I found compelled to post. In retrospect I probably shouldnt have even done that. It just happens that I am not a big fan of the two juices I got, They are Vapable and I will use them, just not great minblowing juice that maybe I was hoping for in ordering. Everyone is different you know, juice is a subjective product, what one guys trash is another guy's treasure. It's not the first time I wasnt thrilled with a juice I got but it's all part of the game. The fact that I've tried atty's from another company but find that MV's are always on my PV is the same thing. Preference is all.

Personally I think the whole entire steeping thing is a marketing gimmick for juice makers to sell more juice, ya maybe say 2-3 weeks, but if it isn't tasty buy then then its never going to be, everything in that juice should meld together buy then as well.

I only want my juice fresh from now on as well, I have been at this for 2 years now and I taste juice that's 8-9 months old anymore and it taste rotten in comparison to juice a couple weeks old, 2 yrs is also nonsense in my opinion for juice to last, heck does anyone eat food that's two years old, maybe some do but not me, would you rather have a fresh piece of steak or one 2 years old. just my $0.02 after 2 years of vaping hard now, I am placing an order for my juice now once a month, I have 5-7 flavors I really like and are in my daily rotation and try a new one once in a while, but buying and stocking all that juice to last for 2 years is crazy,,,Nic may last a long time but not juice once it has been made and flavorings, vg, and pg are added in. Again just my opinion only, and to receive juice purchased that is already a year old is bad business I would want a full refund and send it back ! period end of story,

i have noticed that on every bottle i have ever gotten from MV, but have not been concerned becaaaause... i have also tried a very popular USA juice company and a 100% organic company... of the 10 or so bottles i have vaped in my short career, the MV stuff has been the best not only in very deep flavor, but thee perfect thickness with his pg/vg formulas... which has also resulted in less atty cleaning as well.

the ones from the other companies WERE freshly made... and it SUCKED! because i wanted to vape them so bad... when i did they were very obviously not steeped... they were flavorless. granted they taste good NOW, 3 weeks later, but still... MV is READY FREDDY!

since trying the other 2 juice vendors, my latest order was from MV... and it was to reorder my "official noob juice"... vanilla.

all that being said... tony i hope you are lurking, because i REALLY want you to blend us a coconut... so so very much.

I buy it fresh so I can decide how long I want it to sit around...the stuff does degrade over time...I bought some cartos from China and they gave me some liquid that I wouldn't touch...I think they were just giving away their old stock under the promotion of FREE E-JUICE with each order...I can't imagine a reputable dealer shipping juice that's already a year old..WTH?

UpstatE, totally understand that. And I do agree about MV's atomizers.

MWA, always great to here from someone vaping so long. Tomorrow makes a year for me and I tend to agree with you. I still have juice from over the year and the stuff I didn't like, I still don't like. I have some Halo that I use as soon as I get it and the same juice that I use a month or two later - can't tell the difference.

Berube, what MV juice are you vaping? You got my attention. the USA stuff?

AG, man I totally agree that juice that sits in a cart or carto too long is meant for the garbage.

Tinstar, I think you may be on to something there.
