I have a couple of idea's for us to do as a group project.
1. Try to visit the New member forum every couple of days and Welcome them, help if you can, post a link if they need one and remember we were all new at one time! What I look for is those who haven't recieved an answer yet.
If they are slipping down the board with no answer they will end up on the second page. Nobody ever checks the second page!
The search engine in here is all but useless, so saying 'do a search' isn't helpful. If you can't help or find a helpful link on the board..say so! just welcome them and tell them you are sending them to the top so so one else who kn)ows the answer can help.
One nice word from a full member helps, it also helps them get their post count up with out just posting crap to do it! Some people think they can't post anywhere but the New Member forum.
2. Pick a couple of people to send a friend request to. I can't tell you how nice it made me feel when the first one did that for me! It makes you feel like part of the board.
3. Take a minute out of you posting day to reply to those who need a kind word..we have a couple of guys right now who are going through wife/girlfriend troubles. It's not just us here on the Woman's board who have troubles..we are lucky enough to have each other!
Look in general.
4. Last but not least, If you run into a lady who is new..invite her to join us!
It helps if you give them the link to join. The Women's Room (copy this)
If you point them to the forum (that's here)..it's harder to get them to the join page. That link is to the main join page.

If you belong to another group, ask people to join that too. I always try to point people to the Fla. vapors Club. It's another way of making people feel welcome.
Plus it's nice to see familiar Avitars when you are posting upstairs.
I can't figure out a nice way to ask people to join Wrecked and Bonkers! You don't have to be insane or totaly disabled to join, you can be the spouse, parent or a friend of some with problems! You can also be a diabetic like me or maybe be depressed or have allergies! LOL
Thanks ladies, I am not saying you have to do any of these things! I am saying if you are comfortable doing them..please do. This is a community that has a huge amount of brand new vapors everyday. We will of course run into the stinkers..but mostly they are like us, just happy to have found a way out of analog He11.
I love this board, I love the majority ..the very large majority of the people on it..I just want to spread the love!

Welcome Patricia! Glad you joined us! And the chocolate was used in MK's bait trap to get you to bite and slide on down. Hope ya found somethin or someone soft to land on.
