I, too, suffered from lazy mailman syndrome. He used to sneak the orange slip into the mailbox on days I KNEW the item was out for delivery and I was working from home (stalking the mailbox all day), JUST so he didn't have to walk up a flight of steps.
I started placing a note on the mailbox that I'm here all day to sign for packages... now if he's feeling lazy he'll just leave it in the box, knowing I'll just make him deliver it the next day anyways (I always set up for redelivery as my local post office is the portal to the 7 hells).
I feel your pain and can definitely relate. I live on a rural route and my regular mailman is squared away. I reward him with a $20 spot every Christmas because I take my vapemail way seriously. But sometimes I get this lady (must be on his days off) and she drives me nuts. My first provari came PoD, I was home all day waiting for it but she never left it in the mailbox, never came up to my porch to ring the bell, never even left the confirmation slip in the mailbox. I went down to the PO that afternoon and raised a big stink in front of God and everybody. She claimed that she tried to deliver it but I wasn't home. Bald-faced lying about it when actually she was just in too big a rush (or too lazy) to pull in my driveway, walk 20ft up on to the porch and ring the bell.
The next time I was due for a sign for delivery, I was in hiding in my garage with my cell phone video waiting to see if she tried to deliver. If not, I was going to drive straight to the PO with video proof she wasn't doing her job. Lucky for me (and her I suppose) it was Mark, my regular carrier that day. He pulls right in to deliver so I just met him in the driveway.
When my first Reo came, I was doing the recon at my front window with binos. My road dead ends so the carrier always goes all the way down, turns around and then comes back up doing the deliveries. When I saw the female driving, I actually walked out and was standing at my mailbox waiting for her. lol, I told you I take my vapemail dead seriously.
Rest assured, I'll be standing at the front window with my binos come Wednesday or Thursday when my copper vein is due in.
