My first e-cig was V2, with Sahara and Red flavors. I remember shortly after tasting them, I posted here about how incredibly terrible and un-tobacco they tasted, that I must be doing something wrong, etc.

After probably a year of vaping now, somehow, my tastebuds have changed SO DRASTICALLY that I now LOVE V2's Sahara ejuice. I have no explanation as to why. I love it in the same way I love jelly beans; no, a cherry jelly bean doesn't taste like a real cherry. But it taste darn good! And that's how I feel about Sahara.

I have tried quite a few NET's in search of a tobacco taste, and most of them just don't give me what I want. Yet Sahara... there's something about it I like now.

So if you hate something now, come back to it in 6-12 months and see if you still hate. You might not. :)

Sahara was the one that got my husband off cigs last year, but after he quit vaping for a few months, he ended up picking up smoking again. We've tried Sahara since then, and even though I thought it was ok, I think it's horrible now. That happened with my first two favorite e-liquids, too. I recently re-ordered a bottle of each and I think they're nasty, now. But, I've also revisted flavors that I used to hate, and now I love them. Tastes definitely do change over time. I think our tastebuds getting back to normal after we quit smoking is a part of that, too.

I still love the taste of tobacco, and smoke pipes and cigars occasionally (1-4 times a month). So I definitely know that real tobacco still tastes good to me. I think the reason I dislike most tobacco ejuices is that they don't actually taste anything like tobacco, and end up just tasting nasty. Almost as if someone were describing the flavor of tobacco to a non-smoker, who then mixed something up in a lab (which I think is probably the case most of the time).

It's funny-- I looked up my original post about V2's flavors, and saw that I described Sahara as bananas and burnt cereal. I can see how I got that flavor at first, but I'm vaping it right now and I taste more of a smooth caramel. It's very unique.

I suspect a lot of it has to do with expectations and what I'm used to. I ended up vaping quite a lot of Sahara, and it eventually grew on me. Coming back to it after all this time, I think a lot of my enjoyment is the nostalgia of my first e-cig experience. It probably helps that I'm vaping the actual e-juice in an EVOD this time, rather than the hit-or-miss prefilled cartos.

My major problem with V2 is their flavor inconsistencies. They are all OVER the place. But the Sahara e-liquid tastes just like it's supposed to.
