Jiggity, I've been using the same 4 atty's for the last 2 months. every week or so, I just soak the ones I am not currently using in a cup of 70 to 90 % IsoProyl alcohol for 5 minutes, take them out, blow them out, set them aside and and let them dry out. When they don't taste like alchohal when you draw on them, they are ready to go. This is what I do anyhow, you will find a lot of different opinions on this

Thanks,
Jeff~

I have 3 attys (2 I alternate and one spare put away). I have a little jar of vodka (drinkable grain alcohol would be better). Every weekend I put the atty I used all week into the jar and swish it around, and switch to a clean dry atty (after priming with some juice). Next day I swish, remove, shake out the old atty from the alcohol and set it on paper towels to dry. The next weekend I switch to the clean one.

Also good for atty life - pay attention to how hot it's getting. If it's getting real hot than add more juice. if it's not getting hot, see if it needs to be blown out into a tissue. And whenever you remove a battery, check if there is juice in that connection (both the atty and battery ends) and clean it up if there is.

So i can just buy regular grain vodka and then soak the atty in a bowl of it overnight. and then the next day i just lay it on a paper towel to dry out and then its ready to use again?!

Dpowell, just get some 70 to 90 % Isopropyl Alcohol and soak for a couple of minuets, blow it out and let the alcohol evap, cheap and easy.
