Hi all,
I'm a bit concerned with the safety of PG. A simple Google search comes up with countless pages describing a multitude of irreversible health problems, including dermatitis, kidney damage, liver abnormalities, and a whole host of other issues. With all the touting of electronic cigarettes as being a safe alternative, we sure are inhaling a ton of this stuff on a daily basis. "Safe" according to the FDA, but utterly toxic according to the other side. Just today I was looking at a bottle of facial moisturizer proudly stating on the label "100% Propylene Glycol Free!"
Should we remove our rose-colored glasses for a moment and address this?
Vegetable Glycerin, on the other hand, appears to be safe all around the board. With all the great things going on for e-cigs in regards to it being a safe alternative to smoking, the uncertainty surrounding PG ought to be a no-brainer for the industry. In my opinion, a slightly "better vape" isn't worth the risk surrounding PG, especially for an industry already facing legal challenges.
What do you think?
