How will I know when to change my coil? How long do they typically last?

Once it starts to not hit like it did when new. Mine normally lasted around two weeks, maybe three. I'd suggest learning to rebuild the coil yourself. It's a lot cheaper. ALOT CHEAPER.

You will just know. In my experience flavour goes first before much of a noticeable vapour decrease. As stated above - around 2 weeks but your choice of e juice (PG/VG ratio and colour will also play a big part)

Darker, thicker e juices may burn through a head in as little as a week or less.

They generally last me 1-4 weeks depending on the juice. Mine are mainly "sweet" flavors (no added sweeteners, just sweet like key lime pie, cotton candy, etc - so sweet to the taste). When they are about to go, I get the burning taste. Once is enough for me, so I change it immediately.

You can rebuild the coils, you just have to be careful. I've built some that are perfect, others taste as if the rubber grommet is burning. So if you rebuild, take your time. The rebuilds I've done tend to last longer for me, but I also use 2.5-3mm wicks when I do it as I don't like the thinner wicks as much.

It really is taste subjective, but to learn, when your vape starts to taste different change it, a head is way cheaper than a pack of smokes. And even if you change it once a week it is still way cheaper than a pack a day!
