ProTank 2 Coils

So I've been messing with replacing coils on my ProTank 2 off and on for a couple of months now. I have been using my kayfun, 28g 10 wraps and cotton with no issues. But for some reason, I'm not successful with the ProTank. I've tried 28g and 32g kanthal but I have no idea what I'm doing with this thing. I get how to do it (as far as how to put it together), but I always get flooding or a broken leg. I know some people that swear by Rip Trippers 28g 12 wrap, but I've heard this won't work on a ProVari (1.1 too low). Will it work? Or can someone point me to a sure-fire build with 28g and cotton that can be used on a ProVari? I can't seem to find one. Any help greatly appreciated!

As far as broken legs go, you have to pay attention to not rotating the center post when you are working with it during reassembly. It takes very little twisting of the center post to break a coil leg.

I usually build my Protank coil between 1.6 and 1.8 ohms....works great on the Provari. Here's a great thread for how many wraps and kanthal gauge wire -
